Just found a couple of rare Main Event Couture cards.

Figured the only way I could guarantee getting some truly high-end stuff was to pay for it. Not cheap, but paid pretty much what they're worth, and much better value than buying a case that has disappointing hits. Won't spoil what they are until they arrive. Will post pics in maildays when they do.

To advoid a bidding war between the two of you - driving the price up for no reason.

How about.......

Whoever is interested in bidding on the card could pm a neutral person (me/eggshen/girds etc) and say what their maximum bid would be. Then the neutral person (without disclosing the max bid) could say who has the highest bid.... that person then bids for he card, with the others knowing that they would have been outbid anyway???

That way you are not driving the price up for each other!

If the person who had the highest bid, does not place a bid equal to that on the card though, then shame on you!!!

Uh yeah. Again sorry. When I said "might be" it was kind of tongue in cheek... I placed a high bid on the card at 2.50pm.

Maybe we could still do Chris' idea. I don't bid any higher (I won't anyway) and we both let Chris know what we're bidding / would bid?

Sorry if I stepped on any toes with this one. Sure we can work out something fair. I'm pretty keen on keeping good karma.

Good luck to both. But I think you are going to need deep pockets to be able to score this one. We all know what victories, especially title victories, do to fighters values. Good luck. Bid Big. Id highly recommend the use of a sniping program for this one. No sense in continually bidding throughout the duration of the auction driving the price up, because I think there will be plenty of people interested. So set the sniper to come in late.

Any early estimates on this one. Im thinking 500's, possibly even 600's. Im likening it to the machida rookie red auto from series 2 which sold for 500-600 when he was at the same point in his career as Cain is now, undefeated champion. Any other guesses.

Rather than do this through a middle man (though I appreciate the offer guys) this is what I'm proposing...

I've just increased the bid slightly (I know I said I wouldn't do this but I want to make sure that at least one of us gets it!).

Gav, as you posted "hands off" first, if I win the card I will give you a chance to buy it off me at a fair price.

We do this all out in the open and if I get outbid we can work out a new plan then.

Speaking of diamond, I put in an offer for Couture's series 2 diamond base parallel, but the guy selling wouldn't even respond.

And Randy's diamond auto did show up about a month ago, but I was nowhere near the winning bid. Won't make that mistake again...

Weird that the "hidden" bidder id that I can see is "l***2" and not "L***1"

ahahahahah, sorry for the pushing the price up then mate. i had a gaviltheif auction sniper bot on it at 70.55 US and it went for $71 i saw so i was devastated ahahaha. at least one of us won it, and if your ever selling, let me know.

Well my id i think is Lawf121, i usually dont bid on the private bidder listing because most likely "shill bidding" will occur but i wanted this one ahahah. ive got the next one . in my sights are a randy, henderson, machida and rampage, just want them ones to start

In case you haven't seen it, the Cain I've bid on is still just under $250 with less than 24 hours to go. Still a fair bit of room under my max bid to fend off snipers.

Yepo.. 13/15 went for 255 or something

1/15 went for 565 (was first to appear too?)

So hoping yours only goes for 260. Then I'll only have to bid same, especially with little flaws.
