UD Replacements? Thoughts please

Hey guys,


Got these in today, pretty disappointing on face value. Just after some opinions on whether I was dudded or not.


This is the redemption i claimed in November last year

They stated it was out of stock and a replacment would be organised. I managed to track the redeemed card down on ebay, cost me US$80, i think the original redemption card was about the same, i have seen them go as high as US$150.


I received these 2 in the mail today as replacements (5 months later)

I think i was screwed


To me Jefferson and a high numbered low end player RC doesn't equal KG, or a dual that won a championship together...... Maybe i'm over reacting

yeah the pierce is a nice low number but jefferson aint no KG. Once again the Lopez card is nice and he will be a good player but still no KG. Although i suppose with UD you just have to be happy with any replacement

It's hard to say... On player value I think you got dudded! But then they would take the Low numbering of the Pierce/Jefferson into account where as you probably didnt care about it... UD are sp up and down with there replacements!!!!

Damm!! I saw UD replacement...then the Black Flag and I had high hopes for the VC/T-MAK dual

I actually like the original card more the /50 looks the part

Well, personally I wouldnt be happy in the slightest with that dude. A low numbered replacement yes, but a high numbered Lopez & low numbered Jefferson over KG? Please.

The way I see it, the PP & KG is PC worthy. The other 2 cards are destined to jump on the eBay rollercoaster for the next 5 years, until they get so dented & bashed from multiple posting & careless packaging that someone finally tears them up in frustration.

I believe I have a redemption replacement at home waiting for me for a 2008/09 Exquisite auto patch of Marc Gasol /8 which I was absolutely spewing they didn't honor. I have a bad feeling i'm not gonna be happy

Clarifying question needs to be asked... were you asked what players/teams you liked and did you mention Garnett anywhere? If not then I think it's a perfectly reasonable replacement, especially if you said you like Pierce.

I asked the same thing when i emailed them about the exchange last November, this was their reply:

I will enter comparable value replacement for your card.

A lot of the time we send out 50 cards and we sometimes only get a partial shipment back from the athlete.

Sometimes the athlete keeps some or some get damaged in transit.

A comparable value exchange will be assessed.


I was asked about a player or team. I didn't request a player but product i collect, as i know upper deck have some of my PC hunts stashed away somewhere. I asked for 06-07/07-08 Sweet shot product, 08-09 radiance or 07-08 SPA Chirography Gold /25. They sent 2 cards of product i don't collect, one would assume out of 4 product lines i requested, they would have found something?

I have another 8 pending redemptions, including 3 durant auto's, i think i have more chance of Durant actually signing his UD redemptions than getting decent replacements.

If i ask for replacements on my outstading redemptions, i have a feeling the storm will be winning premiership points before i actually receive a spud webb replacement

I'd be a bit pissed on that for a replacement Scott, i say contact UD and get up them as thats not what you asked for.

As for Durant i think you may be onto something, i've seen a few redemptions for Durant get redeemed the past 2 days so here's hoping for us

I see the logic, KG and RJ sigs look the same

If ur a PP collector than a dual auto /10 is a huge win and Lopez is trimmings.

If ur a KG collector than ur spewin.

As a set collector you will probably be fuming.

In terms of value, its hard to say, but if ur posting this Q then u must not be happy.

KG/PP on card dual/50 > Lopez + RJ/PP even if it was a 1/1 imo
not totally worked over, but they gave you a bit of a feel up............

personally mate i think upper deck have given u a bad deal. honest. i had the exact same card in my redemptions with them, finally ended up asking for a replacement, and when they did send me the card, this is what i got:

big difference than ur lopez and jefferson Black dual au. looks like theyve kept the same theme goin with the usa dual au's, but man they gave u probably the last of their usa dual auto stocks. etj85 wouldnt been rapt if they gave u one of the vc/tmac duals, he's chasing them and already has 3. speak to upperdekc and file a dispute case against the cards u got, and fight it. cos im pretty sure you have a good case, even use my case as a comparison example when u do speak to them. cheers buddy

ps. i got the tmac/vc dual au and still i wouldve preffered something else (compared to what i was initially ment to get). i wanted something KG and celtics atleast still. so i just called them and filed my disupte against the replacement i got (tmac-VC). see how u go, u got nothign to lose.

Thats a good looking card

If you end up getting a replacement, hope for this and i'll take it off your hands no question

I wouldn't be happy with that replacement at all. I would call them and ask for Nick. He is the guy giving everyone awesome replacements lately.
