Is it just me or is UD getting cheaper with their "sticker autos." Every 2005-06 product is full with sticker autos. When I get an auto I want the guy to card not some "sticker" crap. SO CHEAP. :vom:

Yeah...i agree. The sticker auto's definently look a lot cheaper than the actual card auto's.

Hopefully they will come to their senses and start getting the cards signed...we can only hope!!!

It will be all about the logistics of getting stuff done. With so many products these days they would be struggling if they had to ship cards all over the country, much easier just to give some scrub 2000 bits of plastic to sign and get him to send them in all at once.

I don't like the sticker autos. With the others, its like the player actually touched the cards. WIth these its not the same.

If it made it any easier, well I'm still waiting 6 months for UD to send me a redemption. THey say 'the athlete is committed to signing". This is SPSE dual auto with Garnett and Cassell. They shouldn't be that difficult to get to sign the card, esp since Garnett is one of their spokesman.

its simple..the prices have gone up for upper deck "Hobby" products and the auto's are on stickers that are just slapped on uneven and off centre and then you got the jersey/patch cards ening up like the size of 5 cent peices!!..i used to be a fan of upper deck but the more of their products i buy recently the more the look like they are being tight asses....i dont care how much bullshit goes along with it,i have worked in the printing industry and i would say a packet of cards costs them about $1 U.S to produce and they charge up to $40 US for a packet???....i know there are other dollars spent on endorsements/player payment contracts etc but i think they can afford to give their collectors a decent value for money product!.....Its the SHARKS again!

I totally agree man. UD has gone very stingy lately, prices have gone up and theyre making more high end products, but the consumer is still getting about the same standard of cards we have got in the past. and UD will undoubtedly gain a complete monopoly of the industry when they inevitably buy out topps, so we wont even have a choice of which brand to buy. A lot to look forward to for us collectors huh

No chance they'll buy out topps. Topps is way too big in the other sports and also has a huge following on the refractors series.

And who can ever get sick of refractors!!!! :D .Upper deck will just find a way to make them shabby too if they DO but topps out. :x
