Ah memories of emotions and the good old days....

RIP 'Pac & Kadafi....

It's a nice concert footage, House of Blue; plenty of other artists was there that night.

I used to have all the rare materials of 'Pac but since my hard drive crashed on me without a chance to recover all my things, I lost them all.

I've slowly collected some materials back such as other concert, tv apperances, interviews, music clips but I've kind of given up now and just enjoy his older official materials.

Oh shit aye? Big Pimpin'... that was my party song back in the days.... I love Nate Dogg part on that. So catchy that I always sing the tune as it gets stuck on my head. :p

the concert was mad, played nearly all his classic tracks.

the doco was average, portrayed pac as too much of a saint i reckon. i think pac had good intentions and a social conscience when he first started out, but when he blew up and after he signed with Death Row it all went to shit. dont get me wrong he made some awesome music while on DRR but the whole east vs west coast feud really ****ed him up, of course ending with his death. suge is the devil, if pac never signed with him hed still be here today.

I caught that doco, I was keen to see how it all went down as I never used to listen to rap, or music back in the day.
Seemed like Pac was the only rapper with his head in the right place (views/opinions, etc)? Until after he did his jail time and signed with DRR as Jezza said. I never heard that he was shot 5 times before he had the incident that lead to his death! Can't believe he survived that shit!
Even though I have never followed the man or his music, it would be so hard to imagine what the rap scene would be like with him still around today bustin rhymes. Sounded like he was one of the good guys. Gets me interested to learn more about the guy now

I highly recommended you to learn more about him Brad. He is a legend and an inspiration for me. His music, poetry are always great to look back to.

JZA,

Just wondering bud, what other negativity things can you show of 'Pac? Obviously this documentary shows some side that suggests he was a saint because it was made and fulfilled by his friends and other musicians that knows him best.

I think that documentary showed all the negative side of what 'Pac has done that was brought into the attention of the media.

Besides, he is dead and gone when this DVD was made, so showing nothing but explicit, obsene and more of his negative side would seem to show disrespect rather than paying a tribute to him.

i know your a mega fan of his hendra, so nothing i say is likely to change that, but seriously, tupac did talk a whole lot of shit sometimes and acted like an asshole. like one of his close friends said in the doco last night, everyone has a ying and a yang side to them...pac could be a thoughtful, intelligent, articulate, passionate person, and he had a social conscience too. but he could also be an aggressive, thoughtless, violent wanker at times as well. sometimes he had this victim complex like everyone was out to get him (ie. me against the world), and im sure the constant weed smoking only fuelled the paranoia. he had songs like brenda's got a baby, dear moma etc that showed his gentle side but then he comes out with songs like hit em up which are basically the equivalent of what JJ and i did: a childish exchange of threats and bullshit. basically though, he was like a normal guy, a good side and a dark side. i thought the doco showed him as too much of a saint thats all. and its precisely because he is dead, and everyone doesnt want to say anything bad about him.

That's all good bud. I can't argue with you there as I think most if not all rapper has that kind of behaviour anyway.

I was just wondering what big crime did the Thug Angel documentary might've missed and left out. Since I haven't watched that documentary for like a year or two and only caught like the last 10 minutes of it last night, I thought I'd refresh my memory. :p

..five shots couldn't drop me, I took 'em and smiled..

My best friend in high school loved 2Pac and I loved Snoop and hearing his music now brings back alot of memories from those times. Even when those two fell out we'd have arguments about who was right  Without a doubt, 2Pac had the best flow and could freestyle better than anybody. I would have liked to see if 2Pac and Eminem could have co-existed in the industry today..
I don't like his "new stuff" so much and how he is being marketed today.
