It was a few months ago but from memory there was "panini basketball" that real low end product with blue packets and 09-10 prestige. Have a feeling they were from blaster boxes so they would be useless
Just for the record, a local news agency gets packs near me, I've spoken to them and seen how they receive them. They don't get sealed boxes, rather a box that's made up of hundreds of losse packs. So there are no guarantee of hits of any sorts. This may not be the case for every news agency. That also only applies to nba.
I have been in twice, both times it took ages to be spoken too even with only 1 other person in store.
The greeting when I finally got it, was unenthusiastic and laboured at best.
And then, the person serving me when I asked the price on a box said "I guess its around?" and I had to ask him if he could find out if thats what it cost or not.
All that "service" for a price that was 25% higher than anywhere id seen.
If I got good service i probably wouldnt even notice tbe other.
(I think I may have got a casual worker now)

I definitely think you must have got a casual. Actually sounds like one of their magic specialist casuals. I know Matt, Ben and Aiden would be all over anything NBA related.
I highly recommend you visiting again.
Matt and Ben, who have worked there since they were 13-14yrs old have recently become the owners after the tragic death of the original owner.
I know their prices might seem high, but they are also a bricks and mortar store with rent, utilities and employees to pay. All that is fine by me with the awesome experience I get from the chats you have in there.
Since the new ownership they have also cut out the middle man for their NBA stuff, which not only means cheaper prices but they generally have everything within a day or two of the US release date.
Theres nothing they dont know about NBA cards and they love it.
Where have you seen better prices in Adelaide? I might check them out.
@Coopz05 , yeah thats all fair.
I have found nowhere else in Adelaide, but I believe thats what made me feel a little worse from the situation. I felt the only specialists around should be passionate and helpful, wanting to spread knowledge and product ( exactly how you said they normally are! ) but I walked away thinking that because they knew we had no choice they could charge/treat us how they want. (Remember, Im not saying thats what they are doing, just how I felt as I walked out.)
Ill go in some time, see if I get a non MTG casual
