Carlton have announced that Brendan Fevola will be up for trade in the coming trade week. They have said they have had enough of his off-field anticts and wants him to go. Your thoughts.......?

pretty huge story.
He is an essential unit for carlton and their main goal scoring avenue.
Heard the doggies haven't struck a deal with Hall yet as it has hit a rough patch .. so who knows if they may have interest in him.
Not sure what other teams would be keen on fev + his 700K salary + off field antics, sydney are out, as with the teams here in the west!

thank god!!! I would hate to see him at West Coast, even Freo, i couldn't stand him living in the same state. I feel sorry for all victorians:razz:

i don't see anyone else at carlton doing much damage in the forward line. he has nominated hawthorn and stkilda as his preffered clubs so maybe roughhead + draft pick, for fev?

i reckon its great the afl have now finished with this off field champion he can come over the boarder and line up with his brother willy mason!!!!

thats fair u get karmicheal hunt and we get fev

well good point, who will be their gun forward if they don't pick a forward up in the trade? They have Betts (like Milne, has good and bad days, usually bad) and that is about it

I am hoping dees just give him McLean and maybe a pick 30+ pick, he would do wonders for the development of Watts and Jurrah. We might not go that bad next year with him.

1 player doesn't make a team mate. I think the Dees will have to do better than just Mclean and a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick. I reckon McLean and a first round pick would seal the deal

I know, but look at a player like Ablett, he brings people into the game and gives the confidence, I play footy with a guy who is an absoloute gun, we beat a team by 90 points and then when he was in England playing cricket we lost to that team by 130points

It would be more like Fevola + Draft Pick for Roughead mate.

Carlton will not play finals football next year if he loses. Imagine taking 86 goals outside of their team next year. They have ZERO other tall forwards.

send him to sydney for o'keefe and a draft pick? or adelaide for one of thier young guns and a draft pick?

i definitely dont want him at hawthorn, especially if it means we trade roughy for him... no friggin way

I reckon he's going to Melbourne. I have no doubt that in say 3-5 years the Dees will be back at the top, so will the West Coasters;)

Wouldnt be a bad thing for the dees IF they could keep the off field stuff in check. It would get people to the games and FINALLY give them a decent target up forward...

One bloke doesnt make people come to games (taking out Watts first game), I kinda take offence to that being a Melbourne supporter, our supporter base is not huge. I would hate the day to meet someone who would start going to games alot just because of one player. I'm not taking a shot at you mate ::v:

Easy there....i too am a dees supporter and member....

All i was saying is we might see something similar to what happened with Richmond when Cuz first started playing for them. Any help we can get with game crowds is a plus...nothing worse than seeing 10000-15000 at a dees game when across town there are 40000 at a saints game....
