They didn't. Mumford wanted to go and agreed to a deal with Sydney, so they then had to trade him there for whatever they could get.

hawks also traded josh kennedy and ben mcglynn to syndey for various draft picks...

and i just realised that robbie campbell retired... wow that really leaves our ruck stocks very thin and depleted with max bailey doing another knee, renouf being too skinny and uncoordinated and taylor being robot-like and most importantly undisciplined

After trade week, there is not much loyalty in AFL anymore is there, sad I think. It's just all out business and money. Bring back the good old days!

I think it was a good outcome for port.... Although would much rather still have Burgoyne but seeing he was going 9 and 16 picks seems pretty good plus Jay Nash from ess.....

Cant wait for nest years cards now lol 3 draft picks for the power to collect!!! YAY!!! Select better not find a way to screw me lol!

THE BRISBANE Lions have landed trade week's biggest prize, snaring Carlton's Brendan Fevola and a second round draft pick (No.27) in exchange for Lachie Henderson and the Lions' first round pick (No.12).

Earlier this week the Lions had offered Daniel Bradshaw and Michael Rischitelli in a straight swap for Fevola, with the two players being shown around Visy Park by Carlton coach Brett Ratten on Thursday.

But the deal fell through, reportedly after Rischitelli declined a move to Melbourne.

Henderson played seven matches this season for a total of 15 since debuting in 2008.

He made one appearance in the opening nine rounds, before playing five games in a row from rounds 10 to 14.

Henderson missed three matches from rounds 17 to 19 with a foot injury. He returned for the final round of the home-and-away season, but did not play in the Lions finals campaign this year

That'd be a good deal for both teams. Brown is solid, but nothing special...yet? And Ball is a quality midfielder who will get in and do the dirty work for the pies allowing softies like Pendlebury and Thomas to continue to sit off the back of the pack waiting for a give.
