Hi all, as always, I'm trying to create discussion and also find out more about some sets I have no knowledge of (which is most of them).

In your own personal opinion, what are the top 10 sets of All Time?

Can be Base, Parallels, Inserts, Autos, Patches etc.

It could be whatever you want. A particular set that may have changed the Hobby or just that perfect design.

Please feel free to post pics also if you have an example.

And of course you're allowed to be biased, this is your opinion

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Two of my favourites are the 2009-10 Panini Crown Royale Royalty GU /499 and also Premier Penmanship Gold #ed to the player's jersey from 2007-08 UD Premier

Everything bud.

There is certainly same base sets that have changed the Hobby for the better. 86/87 Fleer anyone???

Ok I'm gonna have a go.

My top 10 best sets of all time.

Tough to put them in order.

10. 98/99 Fleer Playmakers Theatre (close to the best 90's insert EVER!!!) You need to see one in hand.

9. 96/97 Flair (the entire set is incredible)



8. 97/98 Credentials Now (missed out on a T.D a while ago)



7. 03/04 Exquisite Number Pieces



6. 04/05 Exquisite Enshrinements (hard to believe I got to 14 of these beauties, best Auto set out there IMO)

5. 97/98 E-x Jambalaya (sum up the 90's, outrageous design with an incredible Future HOF list)


4. 04/05 Exquisite Limited Logos (used to own this beauty, I rate these over the 03/04)


3. 98/99 Precious Metal Gems (pretty keen to get one in to my collection sooner rather than later)



2. 08/09 Exquisite Emblems

1. 97/98 PMG Green (unfortunately I've never seen one in hand, but I put it at no.1)


I was gonna do an honourable mention, but wanted to leave sets for others to add

Limited logos (any year really but especially the first couple)
Ultimate logoman sets are beauties
Precious metal gems (97-98 set)

speaking of that set I had a dream the other night where I went back in time and loaded up on boxes of fleer 86/87 LOL

lol i dont mean the base. Some of the inserts sets where pretty good, like franchise futures, towers of power, total o, rookie phenoms. Obviously not all the sets where good.
