Im glad I got a few mentions...
player collectors like myself and ducky dont have as many "high-end" to get of our players because the majority of the stuff came out in the mid 90's...not saying that DRob doesnt have plenty of new high end stuff! but its not as readily available as say the devin harris' of the world
Seriously, unlike some on the beckett boards I rarely don't care. Thanks for all the compliment guys but the best part about ozcards is that EVERYONE seems to enjoy other members collections even with the diversity we have here. That rather than staying with your own thing makes this place one of the most knowledgable places around now and growing as everyone learns from one and another. The card IQ here has rapidly increased from what I've seen in my time here.
Better to have what we have than seeing a bunch of Wade or Bron autos every day.
I recently picked up a card I needed for over four years and it cost me 80 cents ;-) Took forever to find.
Without this place i wouldnt be card trading/buying at all. I love buying cards and trading cards and most of all i love the amount of support you get from this site.
I had a thought.... doesnt happen too often, and when it does it usually ends up with me taking a Panadol....
Anyways...
What makes a "good collection" good?
Is it the high-end stuff these days that takes every ones fancy, or the actual card count, or the content, or the actual realisation that the one collecting has put in $ after $, day/year after day/year to piece together something that they take pride and joy in?
Just a ponder of mine I'm interesting in hearing about....
In my book its not the money... its the love of the cards... for those that have money it might mean they get the logoman and superfractors and what have you.....
for me it was getting the Isaiah Rider RC Refractor that just made my day.... and what makes it feel good to me... and thus I appreciate the collections of folks that really love the cards whether it be a common or a logoman...

I think a good collections is a bit of all of those things. As chad mentioned he can pick up a card he has needed for 4 years for $0.80 but on the other hand i have to love the likes on Hendra and his 1/10 AI Exquisite patches.
I think that is what makes card collecting and this site so good...as it all goes noticed and generally praised!!!
