Hey all

Any advice/opinions on this are welcome.

I am tossing up whether to keep/finish my 10/11 Contenders Patches Rookie Tickets set chase, or whether to sell it off and look for a new set with less 'issues'.

I have recently sold off the Lin's from the set (because only crazy people wouldn't :lol:) and have about 6-7 of them still waiting redemption, but from all I have heard and read, there have been a few holdups with even the John Wall redemption being filled!

I am at around 68/100 of the set which I think in itself is a good achievement, however I am not interested in paying $150 for a Lin, or even over $25.

I made some good bucks with the Lin's so I have been tempted to sell, but want some opinions before I do!

Or, if anyone is looking for a partial set chase to take over?? This could be a good one!!

So there is some quality in the list! But just sick of chasing a set where I have to wait for redemptions!! I am still trying to finish the 09/10 Classics RC Autos where they still haven't filled 2 of the redemptions!

Whaddya reckon? What would you do?

Hey Adam,

I'm actually in the same boat as you... I started the set chase reasonably late and I have about 40/100. However I have very few of the big names, so I'm thinking I will give up the set chase as it will be an expensive one from here on in. It is a shame though because gee they look nice together so I too am finding it hard to part with.

Let me know what you decide!

If you're bored or foresee redemption troubles sell up.

I made it half way through a very pricey PMG red set at the time then got bored so I sold them all off. Why not!
 
Tough call, could always buy back the Lin when prices come back down to earth - and redemptions do get filled so I'd stick with it - you're not a quitter are you? hah hah
 
I'm usually one to say keep going, but with the redemption issues then that's just annoying as you never know when or IF they will be issued, so I say sell.
 
Keep the set I say and put it aside for the next 3 years and only decide then. Redemption issues might be settled and Jeremy Lin cards might be lower as well.

Decision made!

SELL!!! And already have the new set chase ready to go! One I have been wanting to do for a loooong time,, but just couldn't justify starting while I had these going!

The only stupid thing is that the new chase I have picked, also contains Jeremy Lin :(

Don't worry Adam, Jeremy's prices have been falling (pretty hard too).

I am chasing the Limited 10-11 Next Day Auto and am please that his price has fallen by $400 as of today! :thumbsup:
