I've had only one other graded card ever and I cracked it open - it was graded an 8.5 or 9 I think.
This one is an auto though. It has a pretty naff rating - only a 7 for corners and I can see one white corner (top right) The others look sweet to me. The auto is graded a 10 though.
I'm pretty keen to crack this baby open and take some decent pics of it but wanted to ask how rare an auto graded 10 is - Am I wise to crack it or better off keeping it as is cos the 10 rating is rare??
Fyi- ive cracked many cases with 100% success. With all the posts and youtube tutorials of how to do it, I can say the easiest and safest way that Ive found is to use pliers like these;
And very gradually cut away the corners a mm at a time. When you eventually get a hole showing where the plastic meets, put a very small flathead screwdriver in it and jimmy it open.
It takes time to do it carefully, but Ive never damaged a card yet.
Its actually more nerve racking cutting it out of its plastic sleeve when you get it out.
Ha! Thanks - I have some slightly smaller tools than the one shown above I'll have a go with!
The one time I did it before there was no worries - will take a glowing photo when I get round to it!
