WHAT THE HELL ARE ALL THESE PAYPAL THINGS ON THE STATEMENT

Yep - My wife finally decided to look at our credit card statement and decided I couldn't justify all these paypal things!!

Do you disclose your spending to anyone?
 
Not a problem.

Mine knows everything that comes thru the door.
We share our incomes, no my money her money.
She see all the mail
She knows the value of cards so damn well so I can't lie
She sees my mailday posts hehe
If i did I would have to hide it and not display it and that would defeat buying it.

What I spend on cards she has the same amount to spend on herself as she sees fit unless I fund it with card sales etc.

If there is a 1/1 or something rare I want that rarely pops up I get a little leeway too.

Can't complain here. I like her being an active part of my collecting. She knows more than some members here from what I can tell at times too.
 
I'm single and moved out of home (& renting). When I was still living with the folks, I would get the occasional eye from Mum if I happened to buy too many cards. They knew I collected cards (the big PC in the bedroom was a give-away), and once Dad even came with me when I bought a stack from a shop that was closing down. Also, Mum regularly plays the Pokies, so I at least had that as a bargaining chip.

If I overspend now, then the only person who knows is myself (and my cousin, who I'm renting with, as he'll see the packages come in). As long as I am on time with my rent payments and all the bills are paid on time, then there is nothing he can say/do.
 
Don't get me wrong with this thread either.

She doesn't care about my spending however it may be a little more monitored than before.

Becasue I do all the dealing with mail and bills I had it all under control before

yeah, my gf goes spack even if I mentioned getting an ipod coz I can get it at cost price and my discman died in the arse, and I need something to go to work with....she went crazy....so Im like ooooh kay, better hide that CC statement that came this week! LOL
 
My wife probably doesn't know the full extent of my purchases but when I do a large purchase like the Jordan auto I do tell her. She knows the sets I'm trying to complete and knows its not cheap.
 
G;day to all,i have been married 15 years now & i learnt that lesson a very long time ago.my wife hated me collecting BKB cards,until i figured it out.get her involed,my collect's patch's now and has started buying herself on E-bay (can't believe it) trouble is she has claimed a few of mine.i told her to get her own site :lol:

just make sure you's don't bid against each other if you're going after the same item :P

As for the cards spending thing, my wife knew what I was spending because there were millions of paypal paypal paypal messages coming up on the credit card all the time.
 
yer it's easy to get carried away,as for the bidding thing we choose together.she likes the 2 sets i am building & she collect's coloured patch cards,so that can't be bad.our son will have our collection one fine day,so it's all good. :)
 
My g/f know what I spend...

She LOVES to help me open the boxes!!!

She helped me open my AFL boxes this year & SHE pulled the best 3 cards!!!! :evil:
 
My wife loves to buy cards on ebay as well. She is always looking for what boxes we should buy next and sometimes I have to tell her to slow down on buying cards!!

Mine knows most of what I spend.......I am not a big spender on cards as I have 2 home loans so I don't get into too much trouble !
 
Yeah Danni knows all of what I spend. I usually tell her anyways.

On tight budgets now unless I do some private work (IT Work) or sell some of my other cards.
