Don’t call it a comeback. Call it a resoundingly triumphant return; an epic reemergence that will remind longtime collectors just why Classics Baseball was so great in the first place — and make newcomers who missed it during its first extended run joyful that it’s back.
2014 Classics Baseball returns to the industry Wednesday after almost 10 years on the shelf, and it’s bringing back everything that made it so, well, classic with it. The history-making memorabilia, the legend-heavy checklist, the autographs, the Rookie Cards . . . even two-mini-box packaging configuration.
Earlier this week, Panini America’s Baseball Product Development team oversaw the packout process for a stacked Classics release that will deliver two autographs numbered to 299 or less, two memorabilia cards numbered to 99 or less, 48 Rookie Cards, two Timeless Tributes parallels, six Home Run Heroes, six Legendary Lumberjacks, six October Heroes and six Stars of Summer in every 24-pack master box.
The following Quality Control Gallery should provide significant insight into this classic revival; enjoy the preview and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
