It’s a busier-than-normal day here at the Panini America production facility. While the Panini America hockey team is sequestered just down the hall hand-packing 2011-12 Dominion Hockey, NFL brand manager Aik Tongtharadol is running point on the quality-control process for the dazzling new 2012 Prominence Football.
Due out in hobby shops next week, Prominence delivers a diverse and enjoyable collecting experience bolstered by a generation-spanning checklist and highlighted by at least two autographs and one memorabilia card in every box.
But easily the most compelling aspect of 2012 Prominence Football is a unique Rookie Card program that incorporates five of Panini America’s most beloved RC concepts and devotes them to each of the 35 young superstars who attended the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere: Autographed Nameplate Letters, Autographed NFL Team Field Plates, Autographed Team Logo Patches, Autographed NFL Team Helmets and Autographed Event-Worn Jersey Cards.
Each Rookie Card subset will be numbered to matching quantities, creating five unique Rookie Cards for each of the 35 featured players.
We’ll have much more on 2012 Prominence Football in the coming days. But for now, enjoy part one of our massive QC gallery.
