The one that got away???

I'm sure we all have a few.....but is there one item that you missed out on - outbid, forgot to bid, missed the end of the auction, etc etc - that still to this day you regret not buying?? And perhaps you still have not seen it again to fill that hole in your collection??

I have one which really gets to me - and it is made all the worse because I actually won the auction!! It was an uncut sheet of 1996 Futera Heritage collection cricket cards - I won it for $60 off ebay, which I thought was an absolute steal. Anyway I paid, the item was supposedly posted (from interstate, not overseas) and it never turned up. The seller said they had previously had the odd problem with a few items going missing and they did refund my money - but I didn't want a refund, I wanted the uncut sheet! It is the only item I have ever had lost in the mail. And to this day another one has never turned up in the marketplace.

So....do you guys have similar stories of the one that got away???

Limited to 500, one came up very cheaply, bidded was leading to the last 15 seconds....

then i tried to re bid as soon as I saw i was done over, but someone went over the downloads limit making my internet very slow.... resulting in my loss

havent seen one on ebay since.

yeah i was the same mate, chasing a triple crown for ages, only one i seen in about 12 months and my max bid was $40 but would have gone to about $50, well thinking i had it in the bag got to work the next day and it sold for $52. was so dirty on that for ages. then only a month ago mamboblue72 came to the rescue when he was selling off all his select cricket cards and picked one up real cheap
also the steve waugh platinum sig + redemption 3 card set, this was ages ago, like 3 years or so. my bid was $102 and it sold for $103 never seen one since and would be guessing they would sell for more like $140-$180 now.
