Not a poor buy at all. It's looking likely that De Jong will be moving on, Gareth Barry is moving on in years. Rodwell is young and capable...he'll have a solid role to play...like he'll ever get a proper run in that midfield. poor move on his behalf and poor buy from city...
Agree he's nothing amazing but Yaya Toure doesn't play that defensive role anymore. De Jong hasn't signed a new contract. Milner played a more attacking role yesterday...he can also play CB - he's 6'2' and we need depth there. Kolo Toure is a poor 3rd option as CB and has been rumoured to be leaving all off seaon.
I know u were exaggerating but there aren't dozens ahead of him. Maybe 2? Sure he'll watch plenty... but he'll also play a lot of cup stuff and learn from the best..
I guess it's a choice he's made... I don't reallu understand why Everton would sell him... their fans must get sick of it...
maybe its because i dont really rate rodwell that well. hes just not that good, and they wouldve done better to spend just a bit more and get some real quality. i think they couldve got one of the players i mentioned for around the same price, or near 20mill.
the poorness of the buy for me is in the price they spent. fair enough teams may be upping prices for city, but if youre going to overpay for a player, make it someone worthwhile...
obviously just my opinions. not trying to change your mind or anything.
Jose Mourinho - The 'Only' One
i guess hes right.
and no one wants joey barton. QPR did say theyll give him one more chance, but i cant remember how many chances ago that was?
Such a waste of talent. I remember around 06-07 when he was talked about as the next star midfielder in England, to bad he can't stop from being a douche. It's a pitty because I liked him as a player not to many seasons ago.
