The Official 2012-13 EPL Thread

/\/\ only took them 210mins. still havent let in a goal. theyve been impressive at the back, and thats without kosc and szczesny...

Best we've looked defensively in years. Steve Bould working wonders there. Didn't play that well overall, but did enough. Diaby, Cazorla and Podolski were good.
2-0 at Anfield, I love it

not to happy foxtel didnt show the Newcastle vs Villa game ......other than that 1 all draw is the best result cause villa are a terrible side but you gotta love HBA.

Toon Toon!!!!!!

looks like a long season for LFC.. Only bright spot was Raheem Sterling, played very well for a 17/18yo...

no respect for this kid. 18 years old and 2 children with two different women, he wants to hope he makes it big time so he can support them.

from a football point of view, he played pretty well though.

giroud was looking as pathetic as ever last night. carzola looked the goods though.

Harsh on Giroud, some players take longer to adapt than others. He was leading scorer in Ligue 1 last year, I'm sure the goals will come.
Cazorla has needed no time to adapt, he's class.

Busy deadline day for City, got themselves a very promising CB in Nastijas or something - to replace a very promising CB in Savic who stunk and is going the other way.
Also got Javi Garcia - an upgrade on NDJ who has left... if he's an upgrade that's a great deal. Sinclair finally arrived and also got a back up back up keeper...

As for their 3-1 vs QPR - another very average performance, blew numerous goals. Silva looks slow to start the season...Dzeko got into scoring position twice, only for Kolarov to stuff up a basic pass and Milner to cross straight to the keeper... QPR gave us fits again..

Tevez looks fit as a fiddle...

/\/\ looks like rodwell is getting alot more time than i thought he would aswell...

Yeah more than all of us thought! He was impressive on Saturday...be interesting to see whether he plays with Javi Garcia too.

I think Yaya has been too far up the pitch this year. we've had no NDJ or Barry and so we've been scored on on the break and looked vulnerable without either one of those guys...sure Yaya's scored 2 but we've let in 5...

liverpool looking at owen or heskey as possible replacement for carroll. talk about going backwards.
or they may even recall carroll which is what im really hoping for...

Heard somewhere today that Owen has signed with Stoke. Any truth to this?

hes signed, but the epl board has to approve it because hes been signed after the deadline to submit your 25-man squad, which is what stoke are waiting for before they announce anything. its a 12month pay as you play deal apparantly.

Damn, would have loved to see him back at Liverpool, kinda like how Fowler played one last season with us.

/\/\ fowler is one of my all time favorite players, but his return to liverpool was a bit of a anti-climax (not that he did bad). owens time is over. 'pool need to look forward...
