The Mysterious 93-94 Hoops Magic & Bird MB1A

Since getting back into collecting there is one card i have always wanted

The Hoops 93-94 Magic & Bird MB1A Autographed

Now this is where its gets interesting

Beckett claim the card number should be MB1A BUT everyone i have seen for sale is MB1 and has the hoops stamp on it.

I have done some research and every card i see the autos never looks right. They are either in different pen colour's or different size pens.

Further research it seems when hoops went belly up sold off all the hoops stamps so really anyone could just be stamping the cards with the hoops seal and faking the autos.

Has anyone ever seen a MB1A in person?

To me there seems too many of these cards out there for something that was release in 93-94 with the odds at 1:13,886. According to Skybox back in the 90's under half were redeemed.

Any help on the subject would be great.

I don't know if I can really help, I haven't collected BBall cards since I was a kid, but my regular Magic & Bird insert was one of my first prized cards, so I was kinda excited by this thread

Too bad I didn't really look after it. Kids!

I can only assume what you're seeing is people putting forgeries on this insert.

Lots of fakes. Do a search here, i know there has been discussion on this card in the past.

Have to say, if that is a fake, its a very good one at that...generally Bird's auto is off...you can tell but in this case it looks ok.

Yep they all look real but im not convinced
