Epic! I should've ventured down here earlier. Safe to say McDavid is Gretzky's heir apparent. Fantastic cards you have there.
Hockey has become my second love ( after baseball). I'm mostly just into UD hockey and SPA. I wish I'd bought a McDavid YG a few years ago. He's well and truly out of my budget now.
I pulled a Nick Suzuki FWA last year which is currently getting graded. I'll post some pics when I get my submission back.

I’d love to see your Suzuki card photos when you get it back from grading. He looks like a very good player in the making. Like you I love hockey but there’s not many collectors down here
The McDavids I’ve had since his rookie year. I was very lucky, as an Oilers fan I’d heard that he was a generational talent when he was drafted but as he missed a large chunk of his rookie year through injury they were pretty affordable back then. He has since showed why he was the heir apparent.

I used to think it was pretty lonely as a baseball collector but hockey is next level. Also, trying to sell hockey cards is difficult in Australia. There's virtually no market here and if you want to be competitive with North American sellers you have to sell pretty cheaply. The ozzie dollar is fairly strong at the moment and postage to the US/Canada costs $27 without taking ebay fees into account. Anyway, it is what it is.

Very much the same with me. My North American collection started with baseball, specifically the Yankees. While I continue to collect Yankees and Oilers auto cards, I’ve never sold any baseball (or hockey) because it’s just not worth it. Just gave away lots of cards I got in packs in the end. Now instead of opening packs I’ll just target individual cards to take out the frustration of trying to sell the cards I don’t want/need.
I haven’t tried e-packs. What’s you experience? Might need to give it a go to get that pack opening buzz again

I'd heard of e-pack through Cardboard Connection where it is mentioned in the checklists. I didn't realise that you can actually get physical cards from the site. You can buy loose pack, hobby boxes or even a case. I usually buy either a hobby box or a handful of packs. You buy your packs, open them up on the site and all the cards are stored in your collection. The base is only in digital form but the insert is in physical form and you can have that shipped out to you or sent to comc. Shipping is pretty expensive though. The digital base can be upgraded to a physical card if you combine 10 of them to make a foil parallel. I tried doing it for a bit but gave up on it. There's also reward cards for certain achievements. The best part about e-pack in my opinion is that you can trade your cards on there. The site is very user friendly, probably one of the best I've come across. I have a lot of Young Gun cards on there that I'm almost ready to ship. I recently traded to get a Alexis Lafreniere YG as I was getting sick of trying to pull him. Give it go. It's probably not for everyone but I love it.

Thanks for that info Luka. It’s an interesting concept so I’m going to give it a go. I thought you’d only get digital cards which is why I was hesitant so it’s good that the inserts are in physical form.
Well done on the Lafreniere YG trade, thanks a great pick up for your collection
Thanks. I was pretty happy with the grades. I thought the two SPA Autos would definitely get a PSA10 but wasn't sure about the Young Guns.
I was hoping the Luka would get a PSA10 because I thought I had kept the best copy but you can't win them all. The PSA9 was actually a decent result for the Bat Down as it did have an issue with the bottom right corner.
Thanks for the heads up. I do subscribe to Zeeree’s channel but hadn’t seen this clip yet. Great video, you can see his hand shaking after hitting the McDavid
