Well we lose to carlton last week and i copped it on the chin but whats you pie fans excuse for tonights loss to a team in the same boat as Carlton. We had to play at the Telstra Dome which is a ground we arent that flash on, you had the MCG on FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL in front of a big crowd with so much to play for and blew it. I tipped the bombers to win and they sure did.
Could see them to 7th or 8th on the ladder after this round and the pies are no certainty to make the 8 but they bloody well should only Geelong can steal their spot. I personally think the colliwobbles are over-rated.
We got a tough one tomorrow, with 8 of our best 22 out but we will put in a better performance than that and hopefully come out victors.

Ummm... we aren't as bad as carlton, and are def. not in the same boat.. they lose with a full team, we win/lose with alot of players out of the squad.. not saying we're a top 4-8 team... but we aren't as bad as the ladder tells you this year..

Plus, we always have the wood on the pies.. no matter the position..

And dont say injuries are an excuse, cos your sure as hell bringing up the "injuries are hurting us" excuse.. oh.. and i recall the blues beat you twice .. sorry mate, mixed emotions here.. dont know if i like the win or not..

well you drew with them for one. But i guess we will see at seasons end who wins the spoon and sorry to say but my money is on the bombers.
Carlton have a very talented foward line and IMO are better list of young players, but have a preety fragile backline.

yeh we did, thats not my point. We had to play them on a ground we struggle on twice. My point was this year i rate Carlton better than Essendon on paper and they have a better upspring of young talent. But i do recon Essendon have tried hard this year with the players they've had but alot of your players are just plain crap. Its a rebuilding stage for the dons, they have a few young guys but still carry around players like Bolton, Welsh, Dyson, Solomon and have a pathentic captain in Hille with a young list worse off than Carlton but thats just my opinion and its the reason they are down the bottom of the ladder. Yeah you have had a few injuries but who hasnt, and Lyodd is the only loss that could of seen you in a position a little higher than than 15-16. Hawthorne have been a big dissapointment, their slide down the ladder and constant thrashings have been disgraceful.

hmmm.. seems someone has an "essendon" grudge.. It's ok, I take your comments with a grain of salt.. Melbourne/Carlton are clearly the better sides.. Clearly Dyson/Solomon/Welsh/Hille are shit.. I mean they're no Neitz/Nicholson/White/Yze..

its just the truth and most would agree. Sometimes the truth is hard to handle . Every team has its slumps so i dont know why your so defensive surely after 15 or so losses you must lose faith in some of your players and want to get rid of them.

lol dont even put Yze, Neitz and White in the same sentence as those players lol. Nicho yes is crap, but who doesnt know that.

Bolton/Henneman are the only two i want to "dump" ..

Solomon is still worth something..

Welsh.. I don't see anything wrong with him.. probably as effective as Neitz..

Dyson... he's still young, not even 20 yet.. what would you like from him right now? He'll come good..

And Hille... I don't know what you think his problem is.. he's still young, and quite mobile, and rarely is beaten (until last week against jolley)

Neitz has nearly kicked 600 goals and has records and milestones to his name. He's older now maybe not consistent but he has his games where he is more than effective like when he kicked 8 against the saints this year.

Hille isnt bad but how can you say hes captain material, jesus

All i can say is that on tonighs performance we suck. What a weak effort, when everything is on the line they do that. Pretty poor performance. The boys looked flat, Bombers controlled it from the first go.

I would say the Bombers are not that bad of a team, they gave us a good crack early on the year and neally beat us when we were playing awesome footy.

Jonno how are we overrated? Who rates us? All i hear is people whinging bout how easy our draw is. I dont call that people rating us.

To be honest though i dont really rate the Dee's so hehe...

well we lacked pace tonight our midfield looked tied, last weeks game was one of the best and most toughest contests of all season so they may still be tied from that. But thats still not good enough if we wanna be anygood.

And Melbourne were playing for the exact same as Collingwood (top 4 spot).... I'd prefer to lose to Essendon than Carlton (twice #-o )...
