- Can't believe no one remembers trading card vending machines you'd have beaten the odds if your cards ended up with no dinged corners as it fell down the dispenser. I got a MJ Fleer Hardwood Leader from a few packs and was stoked!
- Topps Finest 93-94. Was amazing to see the base cards, first time a premium product was released.
- Topps Finest 96-97. Allen Iverson RC pulled BV$30 at the time. Boo-yah!
- Stadium Club 97-98. Pulled a Chris Webber/Kerry Kittles dual Co-signers from a box. Boom shakalaka!
I've posted this in another thread but might fit in here! Card ratios/odds always interested me so I kept some packs (some of the prices tells you how desperate I was to bust a pack haha):
Can't say I remember seeing them back in the day, however there is one at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre currently. Have never had the urge to buy a pack from it though...
fountain gate...cool, im probably going there on Saturday, where abouts in the centre is the machine and did they have anything in packs from the later 90s or just early 90s?

Yep, We only had 1 or 2 card shops back in the day when I grew up in NZ. so Vending machines were the main source of cards down at the local video shop.
there were also ones where it had only 1 or 2 different kinds of packs where you put the coins in and push it in and a pack would drop out.. My Brother and I figured out how to get to drop two packs instead of the one
also I found a vending machine like the one in the picture in the early 2000's that had mid 90's packs in it all for 50 cents each. my brother and I cleared it out over a few days
well way back in 93/94 i was shopping with my mum and best mate in midvalley Morwell and there was a guy with a folder and a fresh foiled box of 93/94 Upperdeck ($5) a pack , any way he showed me a MJ base card and i wanted it sooo bad so i ended up buy a pack . I was over the moon when i pulled a Shawn Bradley Base (at the time this was pretty cool) anyway on the way home from shopping a read the stats on the back of all the cards and i was hocked big time. The next day i rode my push bike to the next towns milk bar whaicj i was around 15kms away and brought mt second pack, before i opened it i rode back home (yep 30km ride for a pack of cards), anyway i got back home and i remember siting down with a cold milo and opened it and boom! i pulled a C webber rookie stand outs insert, and from that point started my first pc Mr C Webber.
