I guess it depends on how much of a punter or how tinny you are..
Back in the release year, the collation of these legends was all over the place. I had heard of some dealers breaking ten or more cases for nothing and then other would pull two per case.
With the boxes being cheap in recent years, I have heard of times were eight boxes has yielded nothing and then another eight a week later has seen both legends come out.
With the stock remaining being mostly returned stock, I would say it is a massive lottery.
True story.I was at the trash and treasure markets last year,a lady had 4 sealed boxes for sale at 10.00 each.Best card out of the 4 boxes was the team grand final cards. But you had to buy them at that price.

Yeah that’s definitely worth the risk . Imagine pulling Johns for a $40 outlay .I’m also sceptical about the earlier ones with all the double numbers floating around . There’s a Sterling on eBay which I need but not for $800 with a smudged auto . Would still be keen but not for anywhere near that coin .
I think the 2012 LE and 13 Traders were a real snap shot of where TLA (ESP back then) were and what they thought of the market.
Not numbering signatures in LE or the YG’s from Traders, smudged signatures galore, damaged cards, duplicated numbers. Thankfully they have improved off the charts in comparison but gee they have a long way to go.
I look at Select and I concede they are a specialised trading card business but they could learn a thing or two about product promotion, quality control and consistency !!
Don’t get me wrong, Select have certainly had and have issues but seem to be far better organised than TLA.
Anyway, great to have something to collect, let’s hope some values hold!!
