Some may remember a while back I started a thread cos I couldn't make an ebay paypal payment - it wouldn't go thru for some reason - a few inc me kinda suspected it was a problem with the seller. Well anyway - I ended up bypassing the ebay link and paid straight thru paypal for the card.
The seller was not only patient but he...

- gave me free shipping...in a bubble pack (1.80). I explained I collected KG #21/ cards and that there was 3 others on ebay at the time. He emailed back saying he'd ship for free...it arrived 7 days after I paid

- sent the card in a screwdown which was clean...

- thanked me with a great note for my fast payment...I paid 4 days after the auction ended...anyway at a time when a lot of us are having problems with US sellers - thought I'd share that - maybe we should start a GREAT SELLERS thread as well!!

Anyway - sorry for the long read

Here they are.... this is the card he sent - it's from SP 97-98 and is one of the earliest #/d cards there is. Only Ex credentials from 96-97 #/d to 499 came out earlier. It looks like it has a sticker on it but it's actually part of the card. Also my only hand numbered #21/ card!

Because of this guys generosity - I was able to win this card in the same week...

KG #21/ count now at 20........:D

Great to hear.... the guy who tried to scam me for the t.j gold finest ref /25 got nailed by paypal and I got $108 of my $110 back. so there are good stories to come out of ebay as you say :)

ahhhh nice cards and nice story.....

Shame I am now suffering an unexpected bad story.... my usual seller on ebay.... isn't returning my emails he still has one of my cards he forgot to send last time PLUS the five uncirculateds I won..... including the Devin Harris RC I was so happy to have won.... really shitting me off... I just dunno why this is happening.

Yeah shout out his username, Give him the props he deserves, I'd be keen to check him list out.
Well done as well, I dig the TMAC/KG #21, BONUS=D>

i love your collection of kg cards # 21, thats quite an achievement, i think it would be hard to find alot of kg cards # 21, well done

Thanks for the props fellas - appreciate it. The sellers Id is 'aulwes_972' He currently has 400+ cards for sale so to sort me out personally like that is amazing.....

Just a bit more about the Sp profiles - as far as I know there's only 2 handnumbered serially numbered cards (not counting buybacks) - both are from 97-98 - SP Profiles and UD Diamond dimensions. I'm lucky enough to have the UD DD 100/100 and to now have this Profiles card as a #21/100 is about as good as it can get for a jersey #'d card I reckon - especially since he's crunching down a phat dunk as well!

Indeed a great story, and even better with the service you got! Those cards are sweet, ur collection is awesome!

What happens if he pulls a "Kobe" and changes his #??? JK..

Dear God - I shudder to think!!!! I guess I'll keep em - there must be a few kobe collectors hurting about that. I do hope KG gets outa Minny soon and I'll just pray he doesn't change his number...

Just out of interest I posted this same feelgood story on the beckett messageboards to give the guy some props and got NO replies - no one interested in a good deed - they just like b#tching over there....

Great addition to your PC =D>

But just one question...........

fast payment...I paid 4 days after the auction ended

Fast payment? Usually I pay within 1-2 hours (if I'm online), almost always within 1 day (usually this is when the seller hasn't given me shipping cost prior to auction's end).

Auctions I've hosted myself in the past, I usually would expect payment within 7 days, so I would have thought 4 days would be the norm?

Agreed!! I usually pay within the day - I didn't think 4 days was fast either!!! But he thought it was great and thanked me for it!!!
