This time tomorrow, football collectors across North America will be diving in to a new-look Prestige Football product that’s dramatically different than any Prestige in recent memory. Bolstered by bold new designs, a new packaging configuration (four packs per box, 40 cards per pack) and one autograph in every pack, Panini America’s 2016 Prestige Football is primed to make a splash.
We’ve done our best here on The Knight’s Lance in the last week or so to bring you up to speed on all the changes Prestige has undergone for 2016, including a must-see Quality Control Gallery and a detailed look at some of the product’s retail-exclusive components. Today, we’re diving into three early boxes of the product in advance to tomorrow’s hobby release.
Before you enjoy this extended first look, here are a few additional nuggets to contemplate about 2016 Prestige Football. For starters, the product features 10 Rookie Card SPs, which we’ll be detailing over the next several days. The tough pulls fall roughly two per case at hobby and roughly once per case at retail. In addition, collectors looking to chase the product’s on-card Draft Day Signatures insert should know that Blue Ink versions are the most common followed by Red Ink versions and the super-tough Green Ink versions.
