The anticipation is palpable. In three short days, the first standalone Prizm Hockey brand in collecting history hits hobby shops across North America with the release of Panini America’s 2013-14 Prizm Hockey. By now (thanks to extended previews in 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey and at 2013 Fan Expo Canada), the product needs no introduction. All it needs at this point is for Wednesday to arrive.
Between last week’s live Twitter update from the Panini America production facility and the extended Quality Control Gallery seen right here on The Knight’s Lance, collectors are mostly prepared for the release of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey. Today we put a final pre-release touch on the product by busting two early boxes.
The following gallery takes you pack-by-pack through that process. In addition, we’ve also included the complete list of approved Panini Roundtable stores that will be participating in the exclusive Purple Cracked Ice wrapper redemption program that begins on Wednesday as well.
