It wasn’t like Panini America’s popular Elite Extra Edition Baseball franchise needed a radical overhaul. For the better part of the past 13 years, the product has endeared itself to prospectors looking for early trading cards and autographs of baseball’s future superstars. But after years of more-traditional packaging and value configurations, Panini America’s Baseball Product Development team set out to boldly remake the brand for 2016. The results, as you’ll see below, are quite impressive.
Gone are the venerable 20-pack boxes delivering roughly six autographs per. In their place? Five-pack boxes delivering 25 total cards including 10 autograph or memorabilia cards.
