Team Coach prize: what to do?

Hi all,

I have been lucky enough to win one of the 166-card prize sets from Team Coach. A nice surprise!

However, because the win was so unexpected, I have no idea what to do with the cards. I play the game for fun and don't take it too seriously.

Basically, do I keep the cards or sell them?

Have the prize sets from previous years held or increased their value?

If I were to sell them, do I sell them ASAP? And is it sensible to sell them as one lot or in team sets or individually? (I expect the Cuzzy, Richo, Juddy, Buddy, DT, GAJ cards, for example, would be valuable.)

As a collector, my inclination is to keep them. But, also thinking as a collector, I tend to hold on to stuff that I know will increase in value. I'm not sure whether or not these will.

Any points of view are welcome!

They are worth quite a bit so if you're after $$$ then sell them but if not, loads of people here need individuals for PC's and would be after them.

If you can find someone to buy the lot its less hassle for yourself.

Some people would want certain players for personal collections but i'd only sell in team sets as you'd be stuck with the lower end players etc.

Excellent food for thought. It's got me thinking that if I do sell them, perhaps a combination of team sets (for the less popular sides) and individual cards (for the more popular sides) could be an option...

Interesting that no one (so far) recommends keeping them. Mmm...

PS: For anyone who's not familiar with Team Coach, these prize sets are only handed out to three winners per week of the season. That means there are only 66 full sets in circulation in any given year! (They also feature different photos and a slightly different design to the main release.)

DEFINATLY dont sell a player here and there!

Sell as a team set if you want to sell! But dont sell a player!

All youll end up with is a heap of half teams that no body will want EVER.
And youll get a heap more cash as a team then just a player....

DONT BE FOOLED THINKING SELLING ONE PLAYER FROM A TEAM COULD POSSIABLE BE BETTER!!!

and ps anyone saying sell individual only want you to cos THEY WANT A CARD! not saying it to help you out!

I voted sell individually, but I think Team sets would be good aswell. I have also sent you a PM.

Only do this if you are trying to make freinds, you will end up frustrated and WAY WAY WAY worse off!!!!

BEST idea is to sell as teams, unless you can get someone who wants the whole lot!!

And if they were "desperate" for the cards they would fork out for the whole team and not leave the seller in a rut!!!

I have a set and am pondering the same thing.

Fair few people on here want them... but its hard trying to finalize a trade that both parties are happy with

Id keep one set, and sell the rest... that is what I have done

Hawks sets go for around 150-160 on the bay starting at 99 cents

i would either sell them individualy or as team sets. i would be interseted in western bulldogs team set

well done on the prize set.

IF you don't decide to hold onto them, i would definetly sell only in team sets.
Definetly don't break them up for individual sale untill you only have the teams you cant sell.
