Sydney Trip Help, NRL Final

Well i got my tickets for the Grand final and the storm boys have made it in.
Now its time for a family road trip only problem is i havent booked anyway to stay as i wasn't going unless storm made it, and pretty sure its school holidays in sydney too.
I havent been to sydney for about 15 years so have no idea about place to stay.
As there is a fair few Nsw members on here i was hoping someone could recomend a couple of places to stay around the sydney are, doesnt have to be in the city itself just a nice area that kids would enjoy.
Looking at spending a few night up there and trying to do on a budget and happy to stay in Caravan parks, motels etc not looking at staying in the higher end hotels.
Any help will be Aprecciated

Not only school holidays but a long weekend as well....could be pressed to find any hotel accommodation anyway.

I had friends stay at the Lane Cove Tourist Pk and they said it was pretty cool. It's in the National Pk 10Kms from Sydney about $90 a night for 4 people and they set up the tent for you.
