when I came home today, the mailbox was empty. so I was upset, because I'm waiting for some cards from overseas for my sets.

when I opened the door I just noticed that my girlfriend had already cleared the letter-box.

I saw an envelope, which immediately put a smile on my face, because it looked very familiar.

It was one of the SASE i had sent out for TTM.

I hadn't sent a TTM letter for almost a year, so I wasn't expecting any response anymore.

But when I opened the envelope, I got really excited, because I found this card inside:

29th December 2010

I had already received my custom made logoman signed from David Robinson two days before Christmas.

That was my 2nd attempt to get him sign a card through the mail and it took over a year. My first attempt I had sent like 2 years ago was no success.

Today I visited my parents house and they had a letter from the USA for me in their mailbox.

???

I move from my parents house about 18 months ago.

I opened the envelope and found this card inside

That's my first request, that I had sent 2 years ago. :D

Seems like he kept all the requests and answered them now.

Now I have 2 signed Logomen from D-Rob.

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

I hope you're keeping your custom cards because if any got to ebay there'd be a few people sucked in I'm sure. Nice piece with a big auto, but a little too much playing off a real brand...

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

thanks. It normally has "PERSONAL COLLECTION" on it, instead of "EXQUISITE COLLECTION". but that was one of the first. It still says on the back, that it is a custom-made card.

But this card will definetely stay in my PC.

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

Good to see that David Robinson was nice enough to sign your card for you and the little inscription is an added bonus.

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

Very nice surprise, that almost looks like it could be the real deal. Love your card designs mate

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

that looks really nice mate., i would love for u to take a photo using a digital camera to see how the light reflects off it better. the scan alone looks SICK, so yeh would be nice for the dig pic as i reckon that'll look even nicer :D . well done on the design, looks pretty legit if U werent told its a custom made card . next time desgin a "LOGOMAN INSCRIPTION" card and send it to Drob, hopefully he'll inscript something on there again ;)

ps. what is the inscription read??? "Balm 119.9.11"?? (or it looks like Psalm). what verse does that refer to aswell (im guessing bible related ofcourse).

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

Nice personalised everything on display right there!

Re: surprising early x-mas gift

thanks guys for your nice comments.

@good_old_bball

it reads " Psalm 119.9-11". if my investigatons are correct, it says: "We will have victory over sin" (Ps.119.9,11)
