Suggested Amendment to rules for packaging

Mods,

I went thru the rules again this evening in order to respond to a trade I am involved in. The other party in this trade sent me about 10 NRL Tazo's, they were secure in plastic but they had been double wrapped by rubber bands to keep them secure..........I hate rubber bands but there does not seem to be anything in the rules for packaging that addresses the issues involved with pogs and tazo's

Should this be addressed cause there are plenty of trades for AFL / NRL involving pogs and tazo etc

Cheers

I know what they are but never dealt with them.

What suggestions do you make for sending them? Are rubber bands acceptable for these items? What would be a preferred method of packaging to ensure no damage that is not impossible to do.

graham think tazos should be wrapped in a plastic sleeve (you can get Tazo ones) or into a group bag the same as you do for cards, then into a bubble mailer.

Tazos can bend etc, sure they are thicker and smaller than cards but damage can occur to them.

I gave a few away the other day all in sleeves, its not hard and follows the standard rules, putting anything wrapped in rubber bands is a joke and could wear into the front image of the tazo if its to tight.

IF the item is NOT in its original packaging (sealed) I put all my tazo's / pogs into a penny sleeve and tape it to the shape of the tazo/pog. I then pack these into a team bag and sandwich that team bag between two pieces of stiff cardboard (I use off cuts from framing shops, its cheap and rigid).

The use of rubber bands should not be acceptable as they can wear the edge. I have some spares that I can send to you packaged up that way you will see what I am thinking of.

The second way would be to put the tazo/pogs into the sleeves as before then lay these on a piece of stiff board and tape them in place, before laying the second piece of board on top........there are a few ideas anyway that are better than sending the items loose in the bubble mailer OR in just a plastic bag in a bubble mailer.

Thanks

Dave

Dave fully agree having protection around it is a no brainer be it you use cardboard or if needs be put them into a top loader or 25ctn case, no way should they just be in a sleeve with a rubber band around it. What I was trying to say is that the same rules that apply for Cards should apply for Tazos or things like that. All items sold/traded on this site need to be protected not just in a bubble mailer but inside the mailer as well to make sure that the item reaches the other end in the condition it left the previous owners hands.

My belief is that rubber bands have no right to be near cards or tazo's.

If they are not denting a card they are usually melting to them.
