or perhaps I should call it "Overdrum vs Werdrum" like Foxtel Main Event...

Well done guys. When are you gonna take this sport seriously? There are plenty of websites & shows (many of which you carry!) that you could watch to learn about the sport. Or how about just listening to the US voice-over on the promos you re-use, before butchering them with a new v.o?

Or perhaps you're just content to keep charging us more than NZ viewers to watch UFC events...

*/END RANT/

Sorry everyone, but I'm off my medication this weekend and I get touchy...:mad:

Anyway. Going to watch this one today. Very interested to see how "Febreeze Why Calf 'Allo Werdrum" does.

Lol nice rant. Yeah Ill be watching with interest. I never thought Overeem deserves his place in top 10 heavyweights world wide. He has lost to pretty much every big name he has faced in MMA. I do hope he prooves me wrong because I actually like the guy he seems humble and nice in interviews, but I dont think he is top ten, despite being listed in most top ten heavy weight lists. Im hoping he wins this grand prix though setting up a big fight with a UFC heavyweight contender.

I've been an avid MMA fan since 2002 and train BJJ, Strikeforce continues to come across as an amateurish organisation and I do hope Zuffa make improvements. UFC is the leading championship and holds the most talented fighters, but with more UFC contracts being **** canned and fighters making the move to Strikeforce, it continues to come across as a scape goat for those fighters no longer good enough for UFC.

I've watched the sport grow and I hope it continues to grow at the rate it is.
I too hate the fact we get charged a fortune, but credit must go to ONE HD for UFC 110 as they free aired it to the whole country. I'd hate to think how much that actually cost them, but do hope more air time continues to be provided for free.

Channel 10 / One HD didn't pay any more than normal. It's UFC practice when entering a new market to provide the first event free. Unlikely it will ever happen again, although there is a lot of non-PPV content on Fuel TV, who have really got behind the sport.

That strikeforce card was average at best. Overeem looked terrible and kind of prooved my theory he is not a top 10 heavyweight. He will get destroyed by any of the top UFC heavyweights. Werdum took me back to the Thales Leites v Anderson Silva. Constantly diving on ones back is not good MMAwhat are these guys thinking when they employ this type of strategy. Totally bizzare.
