Hi,

I would appreciate hearing from the experts out there on a some questions I have on how to store my basketball cards.

1. Is it ok to store cards in a penny sleeve and then put them into a 9 pocket ultra pro page?

2. For thicker cards (autos, patches, etc) how should I store them? One person recommended I store them in a sleeve and then put them inside a top loader - but can you buy pages that can hold top loaders?

3. How do people store cards inside a one touch? I like having my cards in a binder so I can flick through them.

Cheers!

How you store cards all depends on the amount of space you have. Personally, i have the following system....

Player collections all go in penny sleeves and then into folders (booklet cards into extra wide sleeves and 25/50 point cases)
Miscellaneous GU's go into sleeves (depending on beckett value - they have to be listed) and then into the 9-slot page portfolios
Miscellaneous AU's the same as GU's except into 4-slot page portfolio
Larger sets/lower priced sets go into 5000 count cardboard boxes which then go into cabinets
Higher-priced sets (BV $100 and over) go into 200/250/300 count clear cases and are displayed
Any GU's/AU's/Parallels that are over US$100 or unpriced due to scarcity go into one-touch holders or screw downs and are then displayed.

I personally stopped using top-end loaders years ago because there's always a chance the card can slip out easily and moisture can get inside.

What is a 4-slot page portfolio? Can you show a photo?

I came across this Top Loader Binder (http://toploaderbinder.com/) which is just what I want, but it's very pricey to get it delivered to Australia.
