No real surprises - which I guess might make people angry?

Just announced on Ch 9, the squad of 13 for the 'Gabba is:

Mitchell Johnson
Simon Katich

Peter Siddle

Nathan Hauritz not even in the squad!
 
Great to see they have gone with Doherty, apparently Punter was very impressed with him when he saw him last.

Smith would have to be 12th man.

Can't wait for day 1!!
 
Pity about Harris being unfit. If i was a bookie i'd lay Aust. for all i could get. Unpatriotic but realistic.(hope i'm wrong) Pommiealex must be jumping with glee.
 
The guy has done absolutely nothing since his first couple of tests. Happy to keep Hussey in the side he seems to chip in for atleast 50 in most innings but north is a bloody disgrace.. I honestly cant remember him making more than 10 for Australia, aside from a couple of hundreds early on and one a few months back..
Wasted middle order spot.. can't bat, can't bowl..
 
The selectors got it right it seems, Siddle did excellent, Haddin still dropping catches is a worry though, Tim Paine in maybe?
 
Yeah i'm all for Tim Paine to be the Keeper, i think he is a great batsman. I also think that Mitchell Johnson needs to pick up his game, he just didn't have it today. I think he should get another couple of games, but he needs to start taking wickets.
