I actually meant to reply here. At the moment I'm just using Beckett lists to catalogue what cards I have and need, and have recently wanted to use a program like yours Scotty. So I downloaded the free demo of this one yesterday and didn't find it too hot.
How does yours compare in your opinion and have you patented yours yet?
I just printed out a list of every ricky card and simply highlight the card when i get it, think their is like 10 pages or something like that. Preety simple and easy. I use my collection too on beckett.com.
It's really hard for an app to use the net to update it's database, since you need access to the source (beckett online). I spose something could be written to enter in a Username and Password, but then you have the source locations changing (beckett has had a revamp, and favourites don't work).
Not sure how I can get around this, possible an Import function that would update the BVs?

The general feel of the GUI looks simple... very VB like (this is from memory of the 1 semester of VB I did at uni)... im sure that can be easily jazzed up...
Current program
-also all those fields for player's info is not really necessary
-sorting/reports are cool.
Things that can added:
Population report for graded cards
previous sales from auctions to compare
BV as mentioned
(no idea how or if it is possible to import those info from sites)
have you got a program at the moment for your PC ?
