I'm wearing a Bird jersey at the moment and its got all four letters on it!

Still thats one sweet card that I'd love in my collection. I'd expect Mathew (aka NO1Celtsfan) to pick that up.

Not bothering to try to compete with the big guy.

yea, they are a beauty. I've seen the Chamberlain one before but Topps By the letter is just a disgrace to the card industry. Are these bigger than normal cards?

Here is another one....Pete Maravich. I really would have liked to have seen them keep the jersey material under the letter (Like what Topps did).....I think it would have looked a lot better.

Thats gonna fetch a pretty penny. More than the Wilts and Russell for sure!

Strange though as Pistol only has the one gu card. His fleer greats of the game issue. UD must have got this thru the fleer take over or they are holding out on us with patches put away.

Probably the first scenario though.

I read today on the Beckett forum that the Bill Russell "by the letter" is supposedly off his warm up jacket and not his Jersey. Also heard that the reason why they have removed the Jersey pieces from the backs of the letters is due to some letters being too close together to put enough Jersey either side of the letter, to fill the space on the card.
