I have got to have a good chat with Craig from CGA at the last couple shows about his business and how he grades cards so i took the plunge and gave him these monsters to grade at the Penrith show .
Overall happy with the grades but the biggest issue with each card was the cards were not centred properly when they were cut.
Must say also that I really like the slabs that they have the cards in.
Well i have not busted a CGA one open myself but i have busted open quite a few PSA and BGA slabs. They can pretty easily be done with a sharp screw driver and plenty of care.
I also think you can send these back to CGA and they are able to unslab them.

thanks mate that's alright then, It would be nice if someone released a Binder that could hold these like the Top loader binder! or some sort of holder/organiser

I have sent a Barba League Sensation and Jackson Young Gun from this year for grading and i asked Craig this very question. Here is part of his email reply:
As for opening the holders, it is not recommended because of the risk of damaging the card. The only time we open slabs is to re-slab a card and only as a last resort.
Based on that, i wouldn't get them done unless you are sure you want them slabbed!
Thanks Owen, its a great idea to have the cards you cherish the most slabbed. Not sure about graded though. Would do cards & redemptions if a double slab was available to display together.......

Set grading may be a redemption set, insert set, sub-set, complete set or other types of set. Each card will be comprehensively graded, have its own grading number, its number as part of the set and a set number. The set as a whole receives a grading and report. The details and grading results of each card are then entered into our graded card data base. The fees for set grading vary depending upon the number of cards in the set and the turnaround time (see 'Fees').
Just got an email from Craig at CGA, they grade sets etc but each card is in its own slab. So for say a 2009 Captain Signature each card would have its only slab and be graded as a set.
