Pretty happy with the mail this week. Got lots of nice green stuff.

Pic 01:
My second AOJ Lithocards 1/1 sketch card from the grand master artist Jono Gordon. This is such a brilliant pic of Pierce, I love it, the REAL Masterpiece 1/1 card!
Gomes SP Game-Used Bronze /100
FINALLY! A Gomes Exquisite Rookie patch/auto card! Very good price, maybe because of the 1 colour patch, but it'll do me fine.
Gomes Pristine Rookie Auto /100
Very rare UD Three Point Play Triple Game-Used (Walker/Pierce/Baker), me and OzAntoine can't work out where these come from. I'm about to do some serious research on them. It's /25 too.
Pierce 05-06 Hardcourt wood/GU/Auto card. Love the wood cards, this is my 3rd of these  yes, I'm a selfish collector

Another awesome card is this Contemporary Collection Auto, serial numbered 34/499
Gomes Topps Chrome Black RC /500
My first real Oldskool Basketball card! Gene Shue "Loses The Ball"
And a lovely 1970 Topps Checklist, pretty sharp condition too, but not worth as much as my 86/87 Fleer checklist.
Enjoy, any comments appreciated.

Many great pickups among them, I especially like the 1/1 AOJ Lithocard!
The Gomes rc exquisite looks good (would have been even better if it was multi colour) but a great pickup nonetheless. :)

Nice Pierce Contemporary Collection auto.

I really like his auto. Always looks nice.

Great bunch Brad!

The PP Hardcourt Auto looks sweet!

What did you mean about "where they come from" with the Three Point Plays? Set you mean?

Love the Pierce 1/1 Litho. Thats a sweet sketch. Love the Gomes rc's as well =D>

Thats a pretty un-flattering shot for old Gene Shue don't you think?

I think the Three Point Play Jersey is from the 02-03 UD set.

great mailday for the ya pc, love the look of the Paul Pierce Contemporary Collection Auto. Thats a interesting comment to have on a card "Loses The Ball" i am sure Gene Shue would have been happy with that.

Thanks guys.

Scotty - We have checked the Walker and Pierce beckett lists, we checked the becket book for sets, it has 2002 on the back of the card but that's about it. Because series 1 UD had the first year of the set on the back and series 2 had the second year, it's hard to work it out (eg, series 1 from 02-03 would have 2002 on the back, but also series 2 from 01-02 would have 2002). I am going to scour the upper deck site for them. It appears to be 02-03 UD to me, but I can't find records of it.

Travis/Andrew - You read the back of the card and they give Shue such a wrap for setting a new back-court scoring record etc etc and they put that on the front of his card, it's probably one of those innocent old school things

Chad, Mr Vintage, I realised it was from 71-72 when I checked it out further, lol. It does have 1970 printed on the back though! So am I excused?

Thanks for the comments

i checked out the online beckett and while i found a couple of triple GU sets #/25 from 02/03, none had those 3 players in them.

Mate - I love th Cont collection auto - the whole set is awesome! Gomes has a sweet auto - v nice. Excuse my ignorance - but why the hell would u want a checklist - even if it's an old one??

Yeah Travis, it does resemble the jersey piece design on the 02-03 UD season premiere game-used cards, but it doesn't list them in any beckett I have. Checked UD site and they are in fact Upper Deck series 1! :D The mystery has been solved, lol

Ljandkg - I like to pick up old checklists and the odd old basketball card. Checklists used to be checked off back in the day by the kiddies with pencil or pen and because they were often the last card in the set, they were at the bottom of the rubber-banded pile. This is why collectors consider them rarer or harder to find in good nick. For example a BGS9 or better of the 86/87 Fleer checklist would fetch a pretty penny, I picked a nice raw one up a while back for $11-odd so that was a nice purchase :D Basically a bit of a non-dedicated side project for me, like my Redwings NHL auto and game-used cards.

Thanks for the comments, appreciate it.

Managed to find it Al, Travis was right  lol, it's from 02-03 Upper Deck Series 1, stuffs me why Beckett don't have it listed!
