patches for sure, but i love a good auto patch more then anything nothing like combining the old john hancock with a nice looking patch, also cant miss the appeal of a 1/1 logoman
Definitely autos... but must be on card!! But as for the Melo PC, i dont bother with GU stuff either
Ill just straight up hunt for the patch version... But on the flip side, i wont go out of my way to land a low #d parallel version
Whether it be the platinum, silver, gold.... frankincense, myrrh or whatever version.
Different colors of the same card (but 'worth' 50x more) dont phase me... is that weird??
The only one that I would rule out from the selection is GU. All the others have their pros and cons. Patches look sensational but as mentioned can encourage people to swap them out. Autos are really the ultimate but the stickers are a big turn off. As for the SP there is nothing better than owning something that only 'x' number of others can but this has been over done with so many different numberings of essentially the same card.
In the end... PATCHES! Reason being I am just sick of all these Lebron SVSM autos.
Being a Jordan collector, an on card auto is always #1 but with a limited budget my favourite cards would have to be nice patch cards.
Not only do I love the look of a multiple colour, multiple breaks on a nice patch card but even non collectors are usually amazed at how a company can put them into a card.
A close second would have to be Jersey numbered cards closely followed by SP cards (short print 25 or less)
So my perfect card would be a Jordan on card auto patch numbered 23/25 and with a nasty patch from a jersey with more than 3 colour (not sure if it even exists)
I have mainly been loving autos for PC but lately getting more and more into gu or patch.
love the look of multi clr and if there is an auto with it all the better
Great question. For my PC guys, it doesnt really matter (I want them all lol) but if I had to choose a preference I would say Patches. Most auto's of your PC guy basically look the same (at least, they should), whereas a chunky patch can look totally different every time.
Having said that I do like getting SP cards as well, nothing better than having a 1/1, or even really low numbered parallels (less than /25, but prefer /10 or less), which is why I have been loving Totally Certified and Prizm (just got Markieff Morris GOLD) and now Select as well.
When it comes to my set collections (usually Rookie Auto sets), I love On-Card Auto's, so I guess that means there is only GU'd that I am not into.
