Small Set Chase and Side PC Update

Hey folks...

Just thought I'd scan in some of my recent and not so recent set chase cards. Nothing to get too excited about but have started a couple more and am very close to completing some others...

Love the Court Kings look, especially those oversized boxtoppers. Decided to chase down some of the 13-14 product.

Dwight Howard Topps Sigs auto /2499 - my first Dwight auto! Low end product but he's in the right uniform as far as dunk contests go!

Other Set Chases (soooooo close to finishing!)

Rudy Gay Fleer EX Rookie auto /199 (on card) - love acetate, love on card autos, love great action pics - doesn't get much better than this! Just need some of the bigger names to finish like Aldridge and Rondo...

James Worthy 09 10 HOF Famed Signatures auto /249 (on card) - was waiting for the price to drop on one of these but never was able to grab one, so I just bit the bullet and went ahead. Lovely cards, big on card sig and an inscription to boot! Big Games James ftw!

Anyway, that's about all for now. Nothing major here but if you can help out with any of my set chases send me a PM.

Thanks for stopping by and having a squiz, comments always appreciated! Enjoy the rest of the playoffs! I'm going to go out on a limb and say Bulls to upset Cavs in second round! Watch out for those Rockets too - Western Conference Finals perhaps....

Love someone who has the perseverance to chase and complete sets.

Great additions to the PC! Big fan of Court Kings as well, and the Hall of Fame set is very underrated, nice design, on card autos...let down by the high numbering unfortunately...very nice nonetheless!

That EX is definitely a nice looking set mate, the Rondo should drop and become very affordable this offseason! lol

That't my problem - I start way more chases than I can ever handle or finish! Good problem to have I suppose, keeps me occupied!

HOF was a great release with big HOF on card autos. Was gong to chase the Monikers set chase too (with inscriptions) but was put off with the number of signees who failed to inscribe anything at all! I prefer the look of the firstCourt Kings release in 09 10 - artwork was spectacular...

Rondo on the Mavs was a weird decision to begin with - it's not like they have scorers who play off the ball or do much in transition. I bet that he ends up on the Rockets roster next season - Rondo, Harden, Ariza, Jo Smith, Howard - Title!

Boxtoppers, artwork and a textured finish are nice little touches - not everybody;s cup of tea, but definitely a unique product.

It baffles me why they don't have pictures of renowned dunkers in the process of dunking! Or shot blockers blocking shots.... it makes no sense whatsoever to a have a pic of Shaq dribbling the ball up court!

That's the gripe I've always had, why they don't use images relating the players reputation. I started a all star slam dunk winners project some years ago but I only wanted to collect autos of those players in the position of dunking in the uniform they were with at the time. If it wasn't for Panini's Slam Ink or Dunk Co there would not be anything of half of those winners dunking. And then I was going to start an All Star 3 point winners project and wanted only images of those players shooting the ball, nup hardly anything, mostly dribbling.

court kings has a very nice design...
I do really like this cards.
maybe, if I have reached my target for the artifacts, I will collect a new set...
But no worry not the 13-14 Set

It's pretty hard to get a pic of a shot blocker doing his thing - but you'd think getting a good pic of Steve Kerr shooting a 3 shouldn't be that hard!

I have more invested in the 09 -10 Court Kings - much nicer imo. When you finish your Artifacts set you might be able to chase the 2035 release of Court Kings! heh heh
