Site Renovation Proposal
I come to all members with an idea that can and will happen if i get all your support!!! My older brother Mousey12 has had contact with MSF creator DC for quite some time. Recently i got my older brother to see if he could offer his professinal services to Oz Cards. Dc proposed that he would create a fresh site banner, a Logo for OzCards and also give Oz Cards a pernament link on the MSF Frontpage. This would be a great stepping stone and boost for Oz cards as it would fund the site with much deserved recognition and respect.
Ozcards was co-founded by magicman, myself and tezza_jw in August 2004 and has grown immensily over the course of two years. So far we have seen the new real estate that Hill33 most kindly donated to all Australian Card Traders, a feedback system that was funded by a large group of members and a rise in member numbers. Myself and magicman came up with the concept of an australian card trading site with the intentions to see it grow into something as extravegent and well known as the beckett boards and other american trading sites.
All of us recall the 93/94 era and remember how fulfilling it was to buy and trade basketball cards., it seemed as if everyone was addicted to the hobby! Those glory days are long gone too many, alot of old collectors no longer collect and have their cards isolated in some shitty storage unit . Me and Magicman's goals back in 2004 was too bring people back into the dead hobby and it couldnt seem like a better time with all the new irrigation in trading cards. The hobby has grown heaps and alot of basketball fans in Australia are oblivious to it's exsistence.
DC is a very busy man and is responsible for not only creating one of the most talked about basketball sites in australia MSF entirely by himself but he also has assited in building one of the best street courts in Australia through fundrasing 'Pharen Park'. He has also started basketball events within the community and has interviewed legends of basketball such as Magic Johnson.
He is a man on a mission, ' a single man doing everything and anything to bring back basketball's lost popularity down under. He also is the most qualified person to freshen up Oz Cards. He has almost completed his degree in multimedia and is planning to start a web design and graphic franchise.
DC has recived hundreds of emails of people complementing his skill, effort and dedication to MSF. There is also speculation that NBA.com has copyed some of his web design formats and features.
Heres the scenereo; for oz cards to get a professinal face lift and recieve much needed exposure a fee of $250.00 has to be funded to DC for his time and effort. He has promised to show some draft work befour he goes hard on the banner and logo if he knows he has our support and people are interested. Contributing $10 or $20 will go along way in making the site we visit everyday BIGGER.
You can check out his work at his website;
