Hi Guys,

Looking through my stuff at my mother place i found a Signed Kerrod Walters 1994 Gold Card NSWRL it was one of the official gold card that come out that year but it is singed 125/1000.

I have put it on eBay item number 220493894261 but now i am starting to get second thoughts on the worth of this car and what i would get through eBay. (its been up for 2 days and there is 2 viewers)

Can someone shed some light on how much this card may be worth. I found a site with the Ricky Stuart and that was 400$ i assume it would not be worth any where near that but i am just wondering if you guys can help.

Thank you.

mate

if its got a COa + redemption card with it , it COULD be worth what ricky stuart was , 125 is a low number for 1000

If u are referring to ebay where u saw ricky being sold, it wouldnt surprise me u saw it for 400, i am not 100% sure that it is the proper value of the card

any more help anyone?

i dont have a COa + redemption.

I saw the Ricky one on a card website when i was trying to find the value of the Kerrod one, I cant track the website down.

Is there another avenue you recomend selling this card i dont feel i will get even 10% of the value of the card on ebay.

Mate, eBay is ok to sell this card, your listing hasn't been on very long and a lot of punters only view auctions ending soon...it still has 8 days to run, perhaps pull it and start the auction at a minimum price you would be happy for it.

For my mind #125 isn't really low and or anything special and a release limited to a 1000 doesn't make it very limited, however these cards don't come up that often. but without COA / redemption card.....I'm guessing but IMO ( which has been wrong before) you would do well to get $200......

Good luck
Ross

yes Ross

the rareness of the cards is one thing mind you, this series is from 1994, also i believe it could have been the first redemption auto series dynamic started making...

200$ is a bit much, i was going to say that price with the COA + redemption ( 3 card lot of redemption cards looks siiiick).

IMO and i know i might be wrong, and am in no way lowballing you cause i have no intention of buying this card from you.

I would be happy getting 60$ at the most for it, without a redemption and COA

its like asking , what would u pay for a force 5 redemptionsignature with the 2 extra cards, and then without them

hey Ross a quick question

do u think Dean Pay force 5 Signature is worth 150$$, i have seen it on ebay , and i need to start my force 5 redemption set.

Do u feel that this price is too high???

or am i doing good to get one from anywhere??

the number is 650 something i believe.

There was no redemption or COA for these cards, they were signed in pack.

I'm not really sure how much they go for but there is another one on ebay numbered 289 for $75.

SIGNED RUGBY LEAGUE CARD - KERROD WALTERS , BRISBANE - eBay Broncos, Memorabilia, NRL, Rugby League, Sport. (end time 16-Oct-09 06:36:14 AEDST)

Your card looks a lot better condition than this one so you might be able to get a better price than that.

disregard my last post

REALLY???

wuld have been awesome to find a few boxes with those in them.

Does anyone know what happened to Dynamic Marketings back stock once they went bust??

damn , i wanna find a warehouse full of boxes and do a mad raid ;)

pity i cant redeem anything, such a shame...

Yes. You can tell the real ones from other signed ones as these usually have the gold foil printed over part of the signature.

I think Dynamic/Intrpid had some sort of liquidation sale when they went bust. I think that is the reason you see some of the redeemed cards pop up on ebay without the redmption cards.

would you guys put it past someone to just write a number down on one of these gold cards???

is the method u described be4 victor ( abt gold being printed over sig) how u go about identifying the proper ones from series 1 1994 auto releases?

and the one that is on ebay now, notthis one the other one.... pffffffffffffffffffffff it is possibly in the worst condition i have seen any insert auto card :shock::shock:

Of all the ones I have seen the sig has been partly covered. As far as I know that is the only way to tell them apart if someone did write a number on another one. There could be ones though that were signed small enough to not be covered when they printed the gold foil on it. I haven't got one in my collection unfortunately so I'm not sure if there is something else on the back to say it is a signature card.

You're not wrong about that

Payney,
I heard that there were liquidation sales and many card dealers at the time snapped all the stock up. I know of 1 in particular with many single digit #'s as I have seen them with my own eyes.

I know of a trader up here on the Central Coast that has heaps of Dynamics cards.....they seem to have an unlimited number of cards and heaps of unnumbered ones as well, they have stacks of " blank" COAs that they just fill in, They once told me that there was not only a 1000 issued but Dynamic had like another couple of 1000 spares "just in case".............It is for these reasons I'm not a great fan of these dynamic cards or really know what they should be worth.

I have heard similar things re Dynamic limited editions. 1994 was the first year chase cards were introduced to my knowledge. There was also MASS PRODUCTION of cards which is why sets from that era sell for a lot less.
I have also heard in the rumour mill that Select only have 1 distributer nationwide which if true, means the market can be manipulated to an extent with relation to releasing them etc etc. Can anyone elaborate on this???

i got a ricky stuart card from the same set for 50 dollars 3 or 4 weeks ago on ebay its the real deal with the border over the signed part i have 4 cards from that set now all the same just need 1 to have them all

The Select distributor is JHL Enterprise (Steve from Cardzone), he has sole distribution rights to ALL of Selects product. Stuff from Dynamic / Intrepid when they went bust was sold off, Steve bought a lot of it I believe but so did a lot of other dealers, I know one dealer who had cases and cases of the old 95 stock, opened all the boxes for redemptions b54 they went bust etc then threw all the base cards on the tip.

Dynamic also had a lot of excess signature card stock as well, stuff like the force 5, playmakers and the national heroes sets were signed but not numbered..........I have a few of these in my PC if anyone wants me to scan them. They were sold off to dealers and onsold to the consumer. What I have not seen is many of the redemption cards that would redeem all five signatures from the force 5 or playmakers, in fact I have only ever seen (and held in my hot little hands) one of these sets...........they were a VERY limited release.

I think that these cards are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them, I mean to me a near mint kerrod walters auto from this series is priceless and I would have paid a lot more than I did to get the card.
