With a bit of free time on my hands I thought I;d throw together another small mailday of some side PC cards and some overly ambitious set chases I have going on.... On the bright side I've actually finally managed to complete the 1993-94 Jam Session series the good old fashioned way through trading, busting packs and the generosity of one new member on OZCT @nike1 who sent me the final two cards I needed for gratis rather than being held to ransom for some base cards by some profiteering stranger in the hobby overseas. I do at least hope I made it up to him though!

The final 3 cards for the 240 card 93-94 Jam Session set chase: Grant Long, Xavier McDaniel and Robert Horry. I started this chase when the set first came out in 1994 and have only been a few cards away the whole time. I know it's no huge achievement when you can just buy a set off of comc but once you've tried to track something down for so long you can't help to have some sort of sense of pride and accomplishment - especially when I have about 500 other incomplete set chases on the go....

Now I just have to get started on the incomplete subsets and 94 -95 Jam session which is also about three quarters finished! :-P

Just trying to pick up as many of these Metal Cards and Spectra Jumbo RC jerseys as I can on the cheap...

My Art Nouveau pickups continue to come in nice and slowly.... Greek Freak in the house!

Now onto some of my second round speculative RC pickups...Nate Wolters, Glen Rice Jr, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jordan Mickey. Still believe in these guys!

The undrafted really speculative pick! Jeremy Pargo!

Couple of Inscription RC autos...accidentally doubled up

The beginning of a beautiful rainbow.... Red /99, Silver /25 and Gold /10.

......and finally this little beauty which goes a long way towards completing my 06 07 Fleer E-X Rookie set chase! Think I just need the Aldridge auto to complete the set! ..and assuming the Joel Freeland was never made...

Well that's it for now folks, thanks for stopping by and lending me your eyes for a minute or two. Comments and likes are always most appreciated too. Enjoy the long weekend if you have one!

Man, big props completing that set.
Its always a great feeling chasing a set and getting there, its not as easy as people think, regardless of how many are in a set etc It takes real dedication.

Seeing the metal cards remind me of the metal cards in the 90's, they were so premium and the "it" thing back in the day.
Still recall lashing out $9.95 a pack, which was huge for a kid

22 years to finish that set? you must have started collecting it when you were about 2 years old ;)

Another fine Skip mailday, always a good read and nice cards

Tallboys, metal cards, boxtoppers - I always like stuff that's a little bit different. Pain in the neck to store and send though!!!!

i hear that nike1 guy is a good guy ;).

If I had known you earlier I could have no doubt shaved years of the set chase....but then I guess I would have been waiting on the Horry....hah hah

Great work on the set completion.
Love that Rondo rookie card.

Certainly does look the part - love my acetate finishes!

I love that set :D
I may have a couple of Art Nouveaus and Soectra jumbo jerseys if interested...
I'll pm you now

Thanks mate, love that Spectra finish something very Topps Finest Refractrorish goodness to it all!

Best of luck with your other set chases Skip!

Cheers mate, you know I'm gonna need it! I'll let you know when I finish the 94 95 Jam Session in 2038! hah hah

Always love to see the Jam session mailday, great work!

I just loved the fact they were a bit different and you had the guaranteed insert per pack which wasn't the case with Upper Deck & Fleer etc.

Great work Skip

"Great" might be an overstatement but I'll take any kudos going around!

Bugger, showing my age a bit aren't I? To be fair I could have finished it a lot earlier by buying singles off comc but where's the fun in that?!

Nice Rondo!! Hope he gets his act together in Chicago!

We'll see what minutes Rondo manages backing up Spencer Dinwiddie!!!! It is an intriguing combo when they manage to get into transition or some sort of motion... Not a lot of post up action on the Bulls now that Gasol is gone so Rondo should be quite effective.
