I bought a Kobe Gold Standard Black 1/1 well over a year ago for $800ish (before panini f*&^in flooded the market with a million other 1/1's)
But I have actually only now noticed this 1/1 is not listed in Beckett... The base 1/1 is, but it has a different number to this one, which is the Gold Standard insert 1/1.
Beckett has the base insert /199 and the platinum /10, but not the 1/1...
I have tons of reasons why I believe its real, and only the fact that it is not in beckett is making me wonder.
Here's the card:
Reasons why I am sure it's real.
1. The card is clearly BLACK, not just the same base insert with a stamp. It would be pretty tough to print an entire card, that matches the Gold standard "standard" in every way.
2. It has the "One of One" stamp, which, as far as I'm aware is not the type of fake stamp you would normally see.
3. All the other GS 1/1's are stamped "One of One" not "1/1"
4. The person who sold it to me said he pulled it straight from the pack. He was a young kid, who had never really pulled a valuable card before. He has never ever sold a card over $50 in his entire eBay history other than this, and has never sold another 1/1, so its not like he's stamping cards and selling on eBay.
5. It is identical in every dimension to the base insert that I have. same thickness, size, card type etc
I have seen multiples of these listed over a year, all from different sellers from all parts of the globe, I have no doubt that they exist and are legit.
