I see that the biggest issue is the rate from the US to Australia, for me that is,when shipping.
Now,the criteria for me to receive the LEAST EXPENSIVE rate is the following
First-Class Mail® International Letters*
Maximum Value for Contents: $400.00
Max. length 11.5", height 6 1/8" or more than 1/4" thick
Varies $1.18
Now, it appears that I can get a Bubble mailer, Bubble wrap Brand by Henkel Capital, 4" x 7", with 4 cards, in top loaders, in the mail to Australia for that 1.18. I will have to do a deal before I am sure, but that is how it appears.
Now, say, .50 to round things off, for the mailer, 1.18 for the postage and go ahead and say .32 for gas to round the number off, if the post office is within 7 miles which would be a car that gets 15 MPG ( yes math I know)
So, now you have a 2.00 package that holds up too 4 NON-Memorabilia cards, but base/insert to the land of Koalas,Carpet Pythons and great food.
now, as i look, you can bet your ass that a single sweet spot would blow that curve unless your postal worker was in a good mood. Those cards are 1/4 by themselves.
It appears 2 normal GU cards could go, but not 3.
Now,the next level of freight is 12.95.
So it makes more sense if you are sending,say,10 cards, to use 3 separate postal packages, for a 6.00,than 1 for a 12.00 fee.
I think I would be wary of people gouging you poor people on shipping. I get pissed over those crooks charging me 3.00 for a PWE and a .46 stamp. When it comes like that, I tell them it was damage, demand my money, then demand a new envelope, stamp or credit me the cash, then I damage the cards and send them back with a note and a shipping form for calculating fees. They get the message and ,well, usually won't deal with me again, but the point is made.
If I were getting bricked at 13.00 a pop, I would be awfully pissed.
Keep that in mind when trading with me please lol.
My purpose is to explain the rates from ANYWHERE USA to Australia with that mailer and those card numbers. Now,if someone ASKS for a different freight time, thats their bill, but I am not going to want to get my cards a day or 2 early for another 10.00 The package is pre-insured to 400.00, if it gets mushed, I get paid either way.
I just thought you may like to know the base shipping rates based on card count and dimensions, more so for ammunition, than to be running my mouth.
Maybe others can give postage from their end, there or in other countries.
Shipping is being abused as a vacuum to suck up extra cash to offset low card sales and it needs to be stopped so we all need the information
THanks
