You are not wrong Matt. I love to support local sports but there is no way that their brand name is worth more than an NBA team and the worldwide following of the NBA.Ridiculous! And just when the NBL needed good publicity trying to expand the game in AUS...
Just money hungry rather than looking after people with small budgets who would love to wear a jersey in support of the team....The Wildcats have been terrible with merchandise for years!
They have ALWAYS charged more than the other teams for jerseys and have not had much of a range of merchandise since the last couple of years at PEC.
what fans?
Perth almost get as good crowds as some NBA teams so they are doing ONE thing right at least lol. just would be good to get more NBL jerseys around than NBA. One day! maybe not...

Would you pay $130/$150 for one though ?Probably 80% of people that wear NBA jerseys around don't even watch games. Its become part of the hipster fashion must have.
I'd be fine with pay $100 for a Kings jersey if they weren't always sold out on the website

The Wildcats regular season jerseys are $90. The Heritage ones are $130/$150.If it helped the club I'd seriously think about it. Just wondering where you heard these reports of that price? I know the Kings ones weren't selling for that high.
If jersey sales actually helped the NBL become a real league with more than 6 teams then I would buy one too. There are plenty of organizations that are not short of money and don't give a hoot about local business's... I guess it is how the world is sometimesIf it helped the club I'd seriously think about it. Just wondering where you heard these reports of that price? It does mate. Merchandise sales are shared amongst the 8 teams, so buying a Wildcats jersey also helps the struggling teams like Townsville and Wollongong. If jersey sales actually helped the NBL become a real league with more than 6 teams then I would buy one too.
That sounds like a great ideahave to say one of the best things I saw was the Barcelona FC sales in Barcelona - now I'm not 100% on the details , but it was essentially -
They licensed anyone and everyone to make the supporters gear- this meant that it was all incredibly cheap, lots of knock offs and really cheap stuff, lots looked counterfeit but was actually licensed. Apparently this was done deliberately so that everyone in the city supported the football team, no matter how poor they were.
Tickets for the game itself was where they made more money (easy when there is such a following and millions in the city) and they did also sell official gear which was the same as the players, which was much more expensive.
But to give you an idea of prices (compare this to the nrl/afl)
scarf at the game -$10
cap - $10-15
kids playing kit (top and shorts) - $40
adult jersey - $20-30
