Heres an idea, do what they did in 2004 and have a 16 card Captains Signature Redemption series numbered to 40 or similar. Id love to have a crack at that.
We are still roughly 2 months away from usual release date arent we?
I also have a question.....
Seeing as Select are giving back the licence to produce NRL cards (one would assume immediately after the release of Series 2), does this mean there wont be any Premiership/Top try scorers/whatever we would normally get from Predictors? These cards would be manufactured after the end of the season, and its been mentioned the new manufacturer will have preview cards out in August... i would assume this means we wont have Predictors in series 2?
Apparently Select still have the AFL license for next season so they will still operate as usual and you can still send in your redemptions even though they wont be producing NRL. This is according to Di.

Yes but what im saying is- two manufacturers cant make the cards at the same time, if Select have the licence, then ESP cant make the cards until Select officially hand it back, and its been stated that ESP will produce the first preview cards in August, which would mean that by that time they will have taken over the licence and be the only manufacturer allowed to produce NRL cards. This in theory would mean that in October, Select cannot produce the end of season cards they usually do (cards linked to Predictors), therefore no predictors in Series 2.
There may be clauses in the deal, i dunno, but in a nutshell this seems logical.
