I sent him and e-mail regarding the Signed Bill Goggin Testimonial. Here's my e-mail;

I have a ' Bill Goggin Testimonial Dinner' Progamme from Wednesday 18th. August, 1971 and on the back it has signatures. The signatures are of; Kevin Murray, Geff Ainsworth, Graham 'Polly' Farmer,
Peter Jones, Ron Barassi, Wayne Closter, John K. Watts, Ken Newland, John Scarlett, Phil Stevens, Bill Goggin, Bill Lyon & Doug Wade.

Does this have any value or is it just a precious item for a Bill Goggin collector like me?

Liam, the Goggin/Farmer partnership is regarded by many as the greatest ever.
And who am I to argue? to The program has good value- even without all those
signatures. I'm not sure who Bill Lyon is (Bill Ryan??) but you've got $250-worth
without any problem.

I guess what it comes down to people can tell you what it should be worth but realistically its only worth what someone will pay for it.

while Rick's column is interesting, he has in the past exhibited a complete ignorance of trading cards.

I recall someone writing in asking the price of a DPS and he warned them off cards as they are far to common and only depreciate.

found it amusing.

well, he's right.
modern cards do depreciate in value.
there are very few cards that have gone up since release.

Thats right a year after release once the next series is out the quite often drop. Very few players hold there ground or increase in value. Its all about timing for buying and selling. I would love a Jack Riewoldt dps at the moment but look at Buddy his card was selling for $250 in the year he won the coleman now u can get one for $130
