Alright, so anyone in this game (make that Hobby), knows that anything older than 10 years (just a number) is subject to cards "sticking" or being damaged one way or another.
I recently bought some retro boxes from the mid 90s, and if anyone remembers my box break, then you know which ones. Some were subject to sticking, which resulted in surface damage, and some from the Jam Session box had dinged/bent corners, I was accepting the fact that this might be the case, so I wasnt fussed, nor a great loss.
Anyhow, I recently sold (ebay) an old 93-94 UD box which I've had for almost 7 years I'd say, and received a neutral feedback for cards having dinged corners. I sent the buyer an email (through ebay) to apologise, and that if they'd taken the time to contact me prior to feedback, I'd have worked with them on trying to fix the issue. - I havent heard back. They are new to ebay (17 feedback) so I don't fully agree they are aware of how to contact people to discuss issues. I think they leave it to feedback. That's another story, it's all good.
Reason for my post, I just wanted to put it out there that for any one selling older boxes, that they could be subject to damage, and should possibly tell their buyers about such possibilities.
Boxes may be factory sealed still, but that doesnt change the fact that some may still have dinged corners.
