Are you serious? You can't be.....most of the cards #ed lower than /50 or /25, Jordan quad, beautiful Kobe patches....even the dupe of Andre I and Frye was pretty cool. Can't possibly call that a brutal break, even 'sans' the two LeBrons.

AJ, any idea on what the UDA redemption is yet?

Dead serious. Gotta remember the price of each Redemption would have been $40+ US. Outside of the LeBrons there are about 4 cards you'd actually pay that much for.
 
So, the Kobe and Jordan cards go for above $100 US, and the UDA redemption is anybodys guess I'd say. The Gervin auto and rookie quad patches are pretty cool, and I love the AI / Frye patch cards (the left one in particular). I'd say at least 5-7 out of the 22 cards (excluding the Brons) are pretty sweet, and that is pretty good odds.

Of course the Brons make it a great break, but without them I don't think it was 'brutal' by any means.

So what if it was brutal or not.

When I first saw UD BLACK it answered the question I had been asking myself for a long time. The question was "What am I going to collect now that I have all my Finest sets complete except for 1 card?"

I thought I can just sit around and wait for the next release of Finest or commit to another set as well. And I needed something different and UD BLACK is for me that different avenue for me to go down.

Then the decision was wait for them to come out like alot of people and then try and buy them or give it a try and get whatever redemptions I can and be happy with what I get and try and complete the parts of the release that fit my collecting needs.

I will not lie, I would be a little disappointed if I crashed and burned from the break but I think everyone gets disappointed when they buy packs, boxes or cases and don't pull much but I was going to be happy win or lose. As I am collecting them for me and no one else.

Now I spent around US$2000 on my total of 35 packs

I got 2 Lebron auto's (1 just sold on ebay for US$430)
I got UDA Product red. (a guy got auto pic Jordan free throw dunk US$1000)
I got Jordan quad (approx US $140)
I got Kobe Patch (approx US$100)
I got Carmelo quad (approx US$40)
I got Stoudemire gold patch /25 (/50 sold for US$70) (So approx US$100)
I got 4 others That a member has offered (approx US$150)

So for 11 of my 24 cards that means around the value of US$2350 and I am still waiting for 11 packs. But hey who counting.

I know I am not (maybe I am ) but I am to happy with what I got for MY collection.

Oh and Dr. Curlytek I asked UD today about the product redemption but they could not tell me. But it would be nice if it was a Jordan or Lebron Auto Jersey.

Damn straight AJ, I'm with you. I was thinking pre-release that yours was a great move, and all the best with the next 11 packs as well. Anyone is entitled to their opinion, and my main concern was use of the word brutal, as I don't think that could be said of the break in any way shape or form.

Don't forget to update your sig, must be more than 18/88 now!!!

Back to my statement, without the LeBrons it would be a brutal break.

1 UDA Product Redemption... could be anything, hopefully it's something big name and worth big bucks.

Jordan Quad, Kobe Patch, Stoudemire Patch are 3 of the 4 cards I was talking about when I said only 4 would be worth the $40 or so.

Perkins /5 could go high, hard to tell. I don't see a Melo Quad in the pictures, maybe I'm missing something.

UD Black is a high end product at $40 a card. When you buy it, you expect something big (I know I was fearing a dual or quad jersey /99 when I busted mine). Take those two Lebrons out and it's a pretty crappy break, it's not the sort of product you bust hoping to get mid-range cards, you want something high end. As it turns out there are two LeBron Autos, a great Kobe and a nice Jordan which make the break. And that UDA thing could be anything, hopefully something nice.

And I still think it's crap that there were 3 dupes in 24 packs, that's my opinion and I'll stand by it.

exactly.

i mean, he knew that it was all going to be luck when he bought them, and the bottom line is that he did succeed in getting phenomenal cards from his packs!

barely any of those crappy dual jerseys #ed /99 (altho he collects them ) so i'd say he did exceptionally well.
 
Awesome LeBrons!!! Man UD Blacks are great! Some Kidds are popping out now.

I think Bargey was just stating a fact.. if you sold everything you won't get your money back. But so what... the fun was there and the 2 LeBron's made it funner. I't was understandable too for getting dupes since no one should get special treatment for redeeming 20+ blacks in one go.
