Well most of you guys have scanners so you can put up pics of all your cards. I don't have one and I really want to put my collection online to show it off! Just wondering whats a good cheap scanner that does the job? I have no idea and I only want something thats cheap and does the job. Doesn't have to be some super dooper 10 megapixels thing just as long as I can get my card pics up so whatever you can recommend or if anyone has one for sale!?
i know up here i got a lexmark 3 in 1 printer, scanner and copier and is really good got it on special for 80 bucks and recently they've been going for about 110
i use my otherone at the moment as its hooked up to my pc and to lazy to change it over
I agree with JZA. Canon's are probably the best units in both printers & scanners.
Currently Have Lexmark X1100 Printer/Scanner, which supposedly also has Fax & copy abilities, but I don't use them. You can generally pick it up cheap, but the printer inks are around $50 and are not that effiecient. For efficiency, that is why I recommend Canon, as in the long run, it will work out cheaper.
Look in your local paper for a second handy if you're after a cheap one to start. You can pick up an older N640P Canon or something like that for as little as $25-$35? That's what I have, it's fairly old now, but it's a slimline scanner, not one of the old chunky ones. Works a treat, hasn't crashed on me yet and I got it for free!
I agree that the scanner works more than fine (except for some colours appear gray dur to the blue-light used to scan - like Celtic green), but if you also want to use it for printing, just be mindful that, as mentioned by others, cartridges can be expensive, and I also found that at times they are difficult to find except in Stationery shops (which are even more expensive than like Big W or K-Mart, which often have these multi-function devices out cheap)
Well had a look at a brochure from WOW!
and the highly recommended Lexmark 3 in 1 printer/scanner/copier is ONLY $58. So if you are looking for a scanner that is quality i think this one is the way to go.
